Bill is not stupid enough to be Georgies brother. Who else became a millionaire by selling bulls*** ?

The little Georgie is selling false false promises for world peace and "freedom". And his company can't bancrut, cause then America will be no more.

But I think little George isn't even aware of using metaphors.

Now something real on the topic...
My new favourite videoplayer is mplayer (Not Windows Media Player). Here are some tips how to install it on Windows(it's help topic after all):

You need first:
MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7.zip (download the latest version)
windows-all-20050115.zip
mplayerfonts_win1251_v1.tar.gz (for subtitles)
Extract the first first file into C:\Program Files\mplayer
Extract the second file into C:\Program Files\mplayer\codecs
Extract the third file into C:\Program Files\mplayer and then copy windows-1251/(the font you use) into C:\Program Files\mplayer\font. It's not working with me, so I add the subtitles to the movie with program.
Start the file C:\Program Files\mplayer\mplayer.exe using MS-DOS and add the address of the file you want to start (for example: mplayer D:\Movies\Lift.avi)
If you read the documentation you will find more options you could use. mplayer is a perfect solution for a weak PC, but if you want trully to use it's power, use Crystal Player. It has some very good options for better graphics.

VLC?

Much better, cross-platform.

I tried it, but I thing that mplayer is better. It have a lots of options and you could run it on not so fast machines and uses its own codecs. Also it have mencoder, perfect for encoding all video formats. The bad side is that you have to type a lot to run it, but I get used to it.

I use most of the time GNU/Linux FC4
And at times I use WinXP for college VB projects...

Bringing a topic from the dead, to raise a question!

Who has used vista? I mentioned in the hardware topic that I own a CyberPowerPC Asus Z96J Laptop with an Intel 1.83 GHz Core 2 Duo w/ 2GB RAM, DVD-RW and 120 GB Hard Drive. I got the beauty February 14, 2007 . . . .

I used Windows Vista up until September 10, 2007. I installed Windows XP Pro, because I got tired of staring at Vista, and above all it sucks, and is depressing to use. The night I installed XP, I was staring at my computer screen, thinking of how ugly Vista is.

I installed Windows XP Pro, and I am never going to go back to Vista.

Who feels the same way!

I'm using Windows XP because although I don't have a high-end system, I like playing games and most games are released for Windows only. I also tried Vista, but it lacks driver-support and XP runs fine, it's the first Microsoft OS that really works correctly over a longer period of time.
