Morrowind! Just got the Bloodmoon expansion, re-installed my system and all and.. and... the framerate went down and the poor thing is unlpayable at the moment ;_; I keep on hoping it's because I don't have Service Pack 1 and that MW *will* run when I install it..

Now, I'm going to assume you're talking XP. And, I’ll assume you’re using your old computer which most likely doesn’t fit all of the sys requirements for XP. So, did you reinstall your graphic drivers?

That could explain a lot.

But, half of my thoughts were guesses so I could be way way way off.

Well, your first assumation was correct.

Me -> Fromatted the whole computer
Brother -> Added +256 RAM
I now has a total of 384MB RAM
And everything (including the latest graphic drivers) is (re)installed.

So, uh, yeah. I must find my Win98 CD and just.. install it, for gaming sake.

Before you formatted, was your computer subject to an upgrade from windows 98 to XP?

Also upgrading the RAM may have invertedly reduced the computing efficiency e.g when mixing different types of RAM sticks which use different memory timings & latency.
On top of that, at which speed the new memory runs e.g lets say your original 128mb (say runs at PC2100 266mhz DDR *wild guess*) opposed to your new 256mb which runs at speeds of PC2700 333mhz. Ofcourse I'm not sure what type or speed of RAM you're using, It could be SDR for all I know..
