ok here they are:

intro: (this is the rhythm, i didn't bother finding out the lead)

(= is palm mute)

C#m Bm F#m C#m Em F#m C#m Bm F#m C#m Em (Let ring)

verse: (palm mute)

G#m (can't) Em (myself) G#m (afraid of what) Em (awry) X2, then..

G#m (seems) Em (dissapear) G#m (hard to steer) Em (go on) play X 2 also.. then chorus

chorus:

C#m (you) Bm (higher) F#m (fly) C#m (moon)

Em (mii-) F#m (-iine) -play X2

(play chorus twice. the rest should be easy to figure out)

your tab had errors. i'll correct it, i've been playing lift for a while... dont hate me for being a smartass... that's not my intention. :)

I've submitted it to ultimateguitar.com, but it's not up yet. that tab has the chords correctly at the changes in the text as well, so anyone interested in a nice looking tab, look there. i just pasted it here for the time being.

Intro (as chorus):
C#m B F#
C#m E F#
C#m B F#
C#m E F#

Verse 1:
G#m
Times when I just can't
E
Bring myself to say it loud
G# E
Afraid that what I'll say comes out somehow awry
G#m
That is when it seems
E
We move in circles day to day
G#m E
Twist the drama of the play to get us by

Prechorus:
G#m
And it feels like fear
E
Like I'll disappear
G#m
Gets so hard to steer
E
Yet I go on
G#m
Do we need debate
E
When it seems too late
G#m F#
Like I bleed but wait
E F#
Like nothing's wrong
(slide to F# for one strum in the very end of the prechorus)

Chorus:
C#m B F#
You lift my spirit, take me higher, make me fly,
C#m E F#
Touch the moon up in the sky, when you are mine
C#m B F#
You lift me higher, take my spirit, make it fly,
C#m E F#
Where all new wonders will appear

Instrumental middle eight thingie: as chorus

Verse 2
Like the other day
I thought you won't be coming back
I came to realize my lackluster dreams
And among the schemes
And all the tricks we try to play
Only dreams will hold their sway and defy

Prechorus

Chorus

Solo: as chorus

Chorus

Outro: as chorus

Lettyboy, you use B minor instead of B major, F# minor instead of F# major and E minor instead of E major. Those are all quite big errors, actually. Instead of just pointing those out, I wrote the correct tab as a whole instead. Granted, much was the same.

Thx Leo!

i don´t want to be pessimistic but, what about the solo?
it´s damn hard and it would be great if someone could post it or tab it

Yeah.. most of the solo to this song is sweeped arpeggios.. Once you have mastered the art of sweep picking, playing stuff like this is a walk in the park.. But.. I havent mastered sweeping yet.. freakin hard and I get bored with it cause I cant find good exercises anywhere online to learn the technique. If you cant sweep or dont know what it is.. dont bother with this solo.. Just Improv one 8)

Actually when listening to it, it sounds to me like he starts out sweeping somewhere around the 12th fret and moves upward a bit, picks a few notes in between, sweeps some more and ends up tapping the e snare. I could be wrong, but that's what it sounds like (i've been trying it for a while now :P ). I wish i could sweep myself though . I'll be sure to tab it out if i manage to get it right in the distant future :P
