Yesterday we had a great beauty contest "Studmiss" here, in my native city Zaporizhzhia (Ukraine). As a friend of organizers and some of the girls I have been visiting rehearsals and other around-the-contest activities. And surely I had a camera in my bag.

I decided to make a short slide-show with some interesting pictures I took during rehearsals and preparations for the official photo shooting. I had no doubt with choosing the soundtrack, I couldn’t imagine my slide-show with another song. Just Carnival of Rust. and no other variants.

Nice song, but I'm not kinda into such contests, but this is a moral question that doesn't belong here.

Carnival of Rust was chosen due to some hard-to-explain personal reasons, due to sad feeling that the end of the contest is coming, and due to parts of lyrics which are in sweet harmony with captured moments. For example, when you hear "More than ever I hope to never fall", you can see the girl in the uncomfortable position in which she was near to fall down the floor during the rehearsals. When you hear "dancing underneath the skies of lust" at the second chorus, you can recognize me staying between all the girls (I gave my camera to another guy), and I really can’t tell you all the hidden meaning of that shot. Also there are some connections which are clear just to insiders of this competition.

I started to think which song is the best for my slide-show, and the first one which came in my mind was Carnival of Rust. I tried to find another variants, but all of them were slightly worse in terms of emotions and feelings and didn’t correlate with my mood.
