Kinda odd one, I didn't even watch it right from the beginning.

I can't ever watch this one again! It disgusted me really, and unfortunately, I saw it from the beginning.

I thought also it was disgusting in some parts and made me saying "Wtf is happening?"
I mean it really was a weird film

The last movie I watched was Helmiä ja sikoja
One of my favourite Finnish movies :)

The Grey - Always enjoy Liam Neeson. The film itself was a good one. Similar to Castaway, somehow; but enjoyed the ending (excluding post-credit scene)

The Iron Lady - I expected it to be boring or something, but it was nice.

Battleship - perfect for simple entertainment without needless deeper thoughts. Kinda typical "saving the world" movie, a bit stupid aliens, a bit too much maturing of the main hero, they've killed the nicest character right in the beginning <-- this is really no spoiler, it's obvious even from the trailer, and good special effects for me, I need a movie to be great visually.

I agree - hilarious!
Different and professionally made. Not a "typical" Suomi movie...
When it ended one woman in the theatre said: "Don't know if it's the best movie I've ever seen or the worst..."

Had a little "horror" movie marathon with a good friend the other day. What we learnt that night was that if you want someone to watch horror movies with and maybe be a little scared too, do not ask me. Seriously, I just couldn't stop giggling... And she said I'd have trouble sleeping afterwards  I guess that's why I don't watch many horror movies. Some video games are a different story though... O_O

Anyway, end of rant, here's the marathon:
The Grudge
Boogeyman
Silent Hill
Dead Silence

and last but not least, the marathon's finishing movie: The Adventures of Tintin

Some hidden gems that usually don't run on theatres whereever I am:

- Love (a classic sci fi movie. Wow!)
- Iron Sky (Just  )
- Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (again)

Real Steel, bought it for my little brother as a birthday gift. It's a predictable basic movie but visually well-made, so watchable. At least my bro loved it. :P

Sherlock Holmes (2009), I saw it half a year ago in a movie theater and loved it so bought it for myself. One of my favorite films and the soundtrack is amazing. I'll buy the sequel too, liked it as well.

Almost forgot, I watched a few episodes of Minuscule (- the private life of insects). They're just great

Yup

Saw it 12 noon on May 6th, whole show was packed just barely sold out i think but i know for a fact all the evening shows were.

I haven't seen to an early showing for any movie in years so that was different.

Ahhhhhh! what an awesome movie, i really enjoyed it... far exceeded my expectations and went way above any prior hype and anticipation i had. Wow.

I feel like i ate food from the gods, it was THAT good. Now's going to be one of those times where people are going to wonder what they like more, this or The Dark Knight..... or quite possibly the newest one Dark Knight Rises.

This Summer looks amazing for movies.

Just saw that too and totally agree.
"OK, who didn't arm their spaceship?" :D

Also saw:
The Hunger Games
A really good adaptation of the book. They changed and left out just the right stuff. well told.

Iron Lady
That was awesome. Great acting and very interesting too.

Hahaha, the whole theater exploded at that line  And why arm a spaceship when we can just throw them an angry bird

Atonement. Really tragic and sad movie from start to finish. This will be in my head for days, cos I just can't understand how events can unfold in such a way as they do in this movie. And yet it's just so very simple and human, the mistake she made. And it's amazing how you can live through your life with such a heavy feeling of guilt present in every single day of your life. At the end it felt like she never forgave herself, had thought about her mistake and the consequences every day of her life and even after atoning it the only way she could, it still wasn't good enough and it didn't make her free of it.

Blade Runner - Disappointing... Don't know why it became famous, maybe for its visual effects... :|

^^ I think you have to remember when it was made. The filming and effects were pretty revolutionary then. I was also disappointed when I fiirst saw it, but that was somewhere in the 90ies and the movie is from 1982. 30 years of movies since have changed a lot. :)

That's either the truth or the problem. Visual effects make worthless ones somehow eminent. Like Avatar, it has really nothing to say (in my opinion, no need to say), but with the visual effects and being the first 3D film it's considered as one of the bests.

I quite agree. Avatar didn't have much except for pretty pictures (IMO).

- Alice in Wonderland (2010)
I didn't really like it (maybe because of dubbing...), but wasn't so bad overall, liked how they created that world. Johnny Deep is great.

- American Beauty
The ending was the best.

- Taken
Nice action movie.

- An Education
Well, nice, but nothing more.
