Hmm, bonus material... :) I wonder if it's ok if I wait with pre-ordering until the beginning of July. Or do you guys think it might already be sold out by then? Can't imagine that :/

It's not a limited edition in any way (or at least it does not say anywhere that it is) so why should it be sold out?

It’s interesting for me will the songs on the German release sound a little bit different in compare with originals? I’d like to have two versions of Temple of Thought, one softer and one harder. :)

Wasn't it with the TOT pre-order no longer being available because too many people pre-ordered the package? Not sure :)

Ho boy, bonus material on a local release of an album... Where did I see that the last time? Oh, right, Within Temptation... They've had quite a few over the years as well.

Anyway, I'm not really a big fan of this attitude. I do understand they want to reward their local fans for the wait, but I'm with Arvigeus on this one. I hope there will other legal ways of obtaining the bonus material as I'm not so big on buying what is essentially the same album all over again. :|

Please keep in mind that the German edition is going to be released closer to the end of July. That's plenty of time away, and you really don't have to pre-order it this much early on if you don't want the whole album. It also leaves plenty of time for more information about different channels of publishing as well.

And I have to say I'm still a little bit surprised with the attitude: It's not like POTF has dozens and dozens of different editions. So instead of being cranky about the whole thing I for one I'm really glad there's something new coming along.

So right DSoL.
I'm a bit astonished about all the complaining too. On the other hand I guess someone will always complain. If there woudn't be any extras on the album or if there are extras on the album .... and some even complain when there is an album at all or not.
Anyway it's funny to read how people and in this case fans react when their band does something new or unexpected.
On my behalf I'm really curious what the extras might be and how different the songs will sound, because how I understood it remote music promised us it will sound a bit different.

Okay and as a fan I would like to complain about the release date because I will be in Finland and have to wait until July 30. before I can listen to it. :P

Porthos13 & DSoL, so agreed with you.
As far as I'm concerned, whatever new comes from the Guys is always more than welcome (more&more if I can have it  )! So, I'm going to get also the German album version and that means I'll own 4 Temple of Thought copies: the Digistore one; the combo version with T-shirt from the webshop; the one bought in Finland (cos being in Finland it was a MUST HAVE! Right @Porthos13?! ); and the German one. And I'm not the only one... Aaand I'm happy and can't wait for this last "gift"! :D

That said, it's comprehensible not everyone can "buy everything, everytime" (me included), so it's plausible to be a bit sad cos of that, but to complain... sounds a bit "too much"... The Guys do sooo much! And we know it's not that easy for them, so let's just be happy&proud everytime they succeed in something new! :D

And if you're complaining cuz you're going to be in Finland when it comes out, then I'm going to complain that you're complaining cuz you're going to be in Finland when it comes out! HA!
Actually, I'm going to complain cuz you're going to be in Finland and I'm not, simple as that... :D So awesome!
(But...I'll have my German copy :P)
(Thanks to you and Lisa :) so thanks for that :) )

Well, don't get me wrong. I am happy to see new stuff from Poets. I just don't really feel like shelling out another ~15 Euros for just one(?) more track I might not have. I don't think it's really that hard to understand.

Well, tell you what. Wait what the bonus material is first, then decide. Who said it's an extra track anyway

Next time when you are out having a party don't buy a beer and you'll have your "extra" 15eur to spend on something smart instead :) Good music lasts you way longer then worthless beer :D

So acoustic versions of Skin and Temple of Thought :D. Very excited about that. Just this last mystery bonus track now :P I'm wondering if it'll be called Signs of Life and it will round off the trilogy. :D

Lame. I thought the bonus stuff would consist of three new songs (them being what the guys are currently working on).

Lame. Really? So between the release of ToT, their spring tour, interviews, PR and all, they should have been able to come up with three completely new songs? The only free time they had for properly working in the studio was May. I hope you don't truly think that creating songs happens quickly and easily, like taking a CD of the shelf and putting it into a player. It's a long process of having ideas, tweaking them, fitting them together, rehearsing it, recording it, mixing all the tracks together, experimenting what things works with it and what things don't...

When one album of 10-12 songs takes the rough minimum of 1-2 years to create, you suddenly think that 3 songs in a couple of months would be perfectly reasonable?
Honestly.

That acoustic thing clears my fears that the new songs might be mixed by a some Super Mario fan.
Anyway, why complain? That means we'll have 3 + X new songs, not just 3.

I'm always game for some acoustic versions of their songs, someday I really hope they do a full album of stripped down, unplugged, raw tunes.

This is good news! :D

makes sense: we had a song called "Carnival Of Rust" and one called "Temple Of Thought": a song called "Signs Of Life" was missing, now I get the other previous tweet :D
That's thrilling, I'm looking forward to hearing it!

oh, and since I realize I had not commented here about it yet: Skin *___* ♥ (<- very meaningful and articulated comment, isn't it? ^^)

Whenever I viewed their discography, I'd always notice how SoL didn't have a title track. I'm glad they made it. :D

But somehow I think it should have been in the original ToT. It's a pretty important track if you ask me. But anyway, doesn't matter! Yay, new track! :D

OK, folks, this edition is on shopping list. but something is confusing...

now how do we think about original release? it's now incomplete, forever.
i'd bet this is probably an unpleasant surprise for the band itself - foreign release is bigger than domestic one.

I guess this song matters much for guys if they call it Signs of Life, like the first album they made together. Feels like it’s gonna be outstanding. Can’t wait for 20th of July... I hope we will get at least a small sample earlier.

Yay! As I posted earlier in the thread I hoped the final bonus track would be called Signs of Life! Only problem is the name alone will create a high amount of expectation. I'm sure Poets will deliver though! :D
