What other songs POTF members have done or have been involved instead of POTF albums' songs?

Let’s list them here. How many songs we will find?

Ok, wikipedia had some wrong info on that then: "Jos sä tarvitset mua – 03:51 (säv. ja san. Marko Saaresto)". I edited my post, thanks for letting all of us know. :)

Ah, yeah, Unity. Those are from before POTF. I thought the idea was to gather together their side projects from the time they've been (and are and will be) POTF.

Would be better if we list ALL of their songs. Of course with one [pre-potf][/pre-potf] tag

My 2 bits here:

Phoenix Effect - Cyanide Skies (production and other)
(not sure for the second album)

[pre-potf]
Marko Saaresto: Playground
Maarkus Kaarlonen: Dance Nation - Dawn (album)
Markus Kaarlonen: various mod music
[/pre-potf]

I think very little is known from the time before...

They composed music for two songs of the band Sauruxet: Omalla Tyylillä and Suuri Lähtölaulu.

Marko has co-written both Phoenix Effect's albums. Olli is also co-writer in some songs of these albums.

Marko sings a little in two Phoenix Effect's songs

Lucky star – Phoenix Effect
King See No Evil - Phoenix Effect

Ok, I know that these are not songs... but Marko had some "voice" involvements in two tv projects, Address Unknown and The Void.

In one NRJ interview they played one song clip what Marko and Olli made in earlier interview.

The lyrics were:

You wanna seize the day. You need to come and play. Just take a chance and celebrate. Your life.

if you go on the lyrics page on Phoenix Effect's site, you'll see who's written them. All songs from new album have "Phoenix Effect & Marko Saaresto" (except Babylon that also has Olli Tukiainen), while for the ones from the first album (Cyanide Skies), well, check for yourselves, cos it changes for each song ^^

by the way, Olli also played the solo at the end of My Heart Is A Beating Drum.
And Captain mixed both albums, I think.

Oh, and Jani and Jari played bass and drums respectively in all songs from "Cyanide Skies" :)

Hint: http://www.discogs.com/ (very incomplete, and the guys have often worked under various pseudonyms, but at least there's something...)

I'd say it's rather: you wanna seize the day [...] (I have this part cut from the interview just cause I really like it  :P )

Perfect place to ask:
Do you remember a while ago they posted on twitter about an online game they made a soundtrack for. It had only trailer back then. Do you remember the name?

They mentioned about a game "Unstoppable Gorg" a while back but they didn't mention the soundtrack being by POTF. Maybe you mean something else tho.

I'm surprised, actually, I'm really surprised! How hadn't I recognize his voice, even I remember I've seen this ad more than once.. And when I watch it now it's clear thing that the singer is Marko. Well, better late than never. :D

They have never made a soundtrack for an "online game" (unless you count Shattered Horizon). They did record a voiceover for a game trailer some time ago (can't remember the name either...), maybe that's what you meant?

POTF doesn't really have anything to do with that game, except that it was made by Futuremark (where Captain used to work :)).

I think that was it, as Admin said. I guess I misunderstood about the soundtrack thing.

It was made in 1999 and the song is in Lauri Järvilehto's album Twilight cinema. The music has categorized as an electronic music.

There is an awesome guitar solo video: Poets of the Fall - Live at Antaragni 07 and it seems they have played this solo while ago, on a concert in India.
It sounds like a complete song and I wonder if it is a new song, cover song or just improvisation song. I think it's great and maybe they will release it someday.
