Thank you so much The Foreboding and redbossfan. You really make a great team :-)

Btw. I always cut those reeds in Finland when I want to have a bit more space in the lake for swimming. I should consider to find a professional cutter for that

Edit:
and another thing. I was looking for "skrode" and found this

^^ it's a dictionary of stadin slangi (Helsinki slang) - I have the small one, a pocket book, but here also is a big volume available. Don't remember the exact title so I can't give you a link. There is one online too, I have it bookmarked at home....
I also own a dictionary of puhekieli and one especially for foreign learners of Finnish (and still, I mostly turn to www.sanakirja.org if I wanna look somethig up ;) ).

And now I remember why I didn't consult my offline dictionaries - they are at home and I am at work. *whistles innocently*

@Snow ... you really have a point with "....but Marko's voice drops low, and I love listening to it anyway!..."

@serinde everyone googles or what ever around to find something, but you are the best. :)

btw. most of the MTV3 interviews were around March 18. during this "huomenta Suomi" program. So we should watch this very carefully

Awesome, doesn't matter when it was done, or if it's short, it's cool 8)

I love the message from Marko (ok cause he sounds American when he speaks English  )

@Porthos13 and @claudia72, I'm glad I didn't say anything too silly, and someone else would agree with me  :D

BTW, I am loving all the interviews found here! Thanks to everyone who posted them, especially the hard work from @redbossfan and @TheForboding! I know the English language is not easy, especially since we have many words which are so similar, but mean different things :) .

For the links serinde posted,

Google Translate:

Olga: Marco, the Internet is replete with reports that shortly leaves your new album. So, is this true?
Marko: Yes, it's true.

Olga: What will the new album?
Marko: It will be fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! It is very versatile.

Olga: Do you plan any experiments with sound, or you save the traditional, melodic sound to you?
Marko: We are currently working, and in either direction. It is impossible for us to imagine playing something tuneless. We love the harmony, but always fun to do something totally new.

Olga: Do you plan to play any of the new material for the upcoming concerts in Russia?
Marko: Probably! I think that will feature several new compositions. Actually, I can not wait for that moment when we start to play new material at concerts.

Olga: Marco, not an open secret that you have gained popularity due to your computer game Max Payne, for which at the time you recorded the soundtrack. Was it a well-planned PR move, or you do not expect such success?
Marko: Well, we had high hopes of success, but, in fact, we do not know what to expect from the whole thing. I think the audience loved «Late Goodbye», and so now they need our new songs yet, more and more.

Olga: Can you describe a typical process for you to write some songs?
Marko: First of all, everything is intuitive. At the heart - our inspiration, which then results in a more meaningful process. A particular way in the creation of each new track do not. Most often, it takes a bit of time to outline, and as a result, the composition is set aside for further development. In this case, just need time to work is finished on the idea.

Olga: Is there a certain formula for you, guaranteeing 100% due to hit?
Marko: I would like to see such a formula was!

Olga: What do you feel each time before going on stage?
Marko: As a general rule we are very happy in anticipation of ... and still very quiet.

Olga: And do you have any traditions, compliance with which ensures a truly successful show?
Marko: We will always remember our best gig we've ever played, and try to make the forthcoming performance is even better. But in general, to the evening to really succeed, you need to make sure that the scene was fun, and, of course, you must enjoy what you do.

Olga: Mark, tell me, please, a few words to your Russian fans (as well as your fans in the Ukraine), who plan to attend your concerts in the upcoming tour (or maybe those who have not yet decided to do this).
Marko: Come to our shows to see how we detach yourself on stage, and we'll look at you, singing with us as loudly as possible!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How are you?

Everything is going fine.

Now you're in the process of recording a new album. How is work?

In general, most of the album was held last year. Everything was great, the work was very fun and interesting. We wrote a lot of new music, which was chosen from the best to include in the album.

How do you write songs? What comes first: music or lyrics?

In fact, the weight is not so simple. Sometimes the first idea is born of the text, but often first formed melody. In most cases, first comes to mind the general idea of the song, what I want to write, and you start to come up with a suitable melody of her play softly on the guitar. While there are more and more new ideas, of which gradually formed a "skeleton" of the composition. And then it acquires more and more new parts, and take the completed form. In general, when writing, there is no particular pattern, it happens in different ways.

What inspires you to write music?

I think mostly it's my life. In my view, I live a very interesting life, I've seen a lot of that got a lot of new experiences and valuable experience, sometimes positive, sometimes not (laughs). In any event, all events in life leave their mark on the soul, and eventually emerge, come to the surface in the form of texts. In most cases, I write about human kindness, it inspires me. And, of course, I am inspired by the return of our fans. They give us the energy to write more new songs.

How would you describe the music of Poets of the Fall?

All I can say this - we have our own unique sound. And so our music can be anything. Each of us involved in writing songs, each investing in them something of their own. When the album comes out in his sound can immediately guess that this is the "Poets of the Fall". But, in general,

we see ourselves in no way limit, we are ready to experiment. As for style, our music includes many elements, it is free.

On your new album you'll stick to the traditional sound "Poets of the Fall", or will some new experiments?

We are constantly experimenting, and on the new album you can also hear it in the process of working on it we had a mass of unusual and interesting ideas. However, there will be tracks to hear that you're safe to say, "These are the Poets of the Fall, we have known." Our principle - not to stand still, do something new, but at the same time not to forget their roots, that sound you know and love.

Should we expect any surprises fans, something unexpected?

I think everyone will decide this for himself, looking at the album from their point of view. For us on this album is something new and different. I want to have each album

m caused his own thoughts and emotions. Everyone listens to and understands everything himself.

You have not yet decided on a release date?

We plan to release an album in March, in the second half of March. Like, we had to announce today the release date. In Finland, the album will be released on March 21, while in others, perhaps, a little later. Usually all always do, but the result directly to the tracks on the release date has shipped on Youtube, and people from all over the world can listen to them there. In general, as I recall, the release will take place on March 21. First, in Finland, and later in other countries.

In March you made in Russia and Ukraine. Are you planning to include new songs in the program of these performances?

Yes, of course, always very nice to be able to play new material. However, we will execute and old songs, the ones that our listeners know and love. But, in addition to old hits, of course, we will pay much attention to the new songs, because we are both musicians

b interesting to imagine the audience something new. So the songs from the new album at these concerts are sure to.

Have you been to Russia several times. As you are the Russian public?

Oh, I like it a lot, and everyone else too. It's great when you go out to the audience and the audience go to White Castle, lit. They have a great time, they are fun, energizing them to return to us. The Russian public is very active, concerts in Russia are always wonderful. I really want to perform there again, to meet with fans. We have been to Russia many times and every time we get great pleasure from the performances. So it's great (laughs).

Do you like touring? Is it hard this is for you?

The fact that As for the performances, I really like, but that tour - it's not just concerts. We take a tour of the opportunity to go on stage and play to the public. It is very nice. This is our chance to speak to the audience, to play for Man

I - sing. We see the reaction of the audience, how they sing along, cry, laugh, jump. This is a high reward for our labor. But most of the tour passes through the crossings and endless waiting, the constant rush, always some kind of turmoil. It's pretty hard. When you're on tour 24/7, just need to find time to relax, hold it so that the maximum rest. It happens that the day is given only one or two free hours, and a little more than a dream. Yes, sometimes difficult, but it's a necessary evil.

Have there been any during the tour fun, or, conversely, scary stories?

In going round the mass of interesting things, some things that make us laugh or or nervous. But then, when someone asks, we can not even remember what was the reason. When we were on tour, always something good happens, or, conversely, unpleasant. But trying to deal with this like real professionals.

BTW, Anyone putting up the recent radio interviews?

I found an article about Spotify (Marko is interviewed). I'm sorry, it's in Finnish. If no-one wants to translate (?), I have some time at evening, given that someone transcribes again. :P

OK, I don't get it, if the interview/article is typed, it can easily be translated online. There are a few errors, but very less.

The one The Foreboding posted translated. There's the untranslated stuff in bold, if someone can help.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tomorrow, a new Temple of Thought album to publish in Poets of the Fall frontman says that Spotify is yes at the moment good service - though it is not economically benefit the artists, practically no

- At present, the situation is good for the consumer, and Spotify. There are people who pay a service for 10 euros a month, therefore they are paying 120 euros a year, what they do not always come the music would cost, and there is a whole spectrum - it is cool.

- The direction of the artist is still unacceptably low. I looked for some statement that the songs we had heard something about 26 000 times and liksaa came to 14 cents. That it may be calculated, the ability of hourly wages.

Saareston that the situation would be good to change - quickly.

- Yes, it is at this point a bit ridiculous nonsense. The direction is correct, yes, but the pace is too slow.
