Here's to put any new information we elicit about the new album and discuss it. Discussed things are the cover art featuring Marko, and opinions about the word "Thought" reference... and the discussion marches on...

"thought" may be used as adjective. Like an antonym for "forgotten":
temple of men who are not forgotten. however i really doubt this is the case

Temple of Thought: like a treasure hidden in a sanctuary. Human thought is the only possession nobody can steal from you.

The title Temple of Thought kinda makes me think of Superman's "Fortress of Solitude", i know it has nothing to do with anything that's just one of the first things that came to mind.

Well, all thinking does happen in one's own head, silently and alone, unless we choose to reveal what it is that we're thinking or have thought. So in a way our thoughts are shielded by a fortress of a kind, and thinking takes place in a kind of solitude. Not that far fetched after all. :)

Query: when this new album comes out, does the digital copy ordered from the Digistore have a pdf version of the booklet with it as well? Do any of their other albums through the digistore have this?

I've only ever bought the physical cds, but some artists provide a digital version of the booklet too...

This is still unofficial & classified info, but what the heck: yes, it is.

Currently only the Rochard soundtrack has a digital booklet that comes with the download, so it's at least technically possible. Can't promise anything yet, but if all goes well, you should get a shiny PDF with the music...

Cheers! fingers crossed then... its what's always prevented me from buying the albums digitally, but its always been worth it to wait for a physical copy in the post...

Can't wait for the new album to come out!

Remember the song Sorry go round?
"A devil may smile with an angel's face..."
is exactly what's on Temple of thought art.

Also, considering the title "Temple of Thought", a quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet just came to my mind:

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."

If the angel and devil actually are symbols for good and bad, that would be an interesting connection of title and cover art. But anyway, maybe the lyrics of ToT will shed some light on this :D

I also agree, it fits very well. At first I thought both angel and devil look disapproving, but maybe they're just thinking very very hard. Perhaps about their own wishes, thoughts and deeds and if they really are so good or evil as generally viewed.
Very philosophical. I think I now expect really a lot from the lyrics... not just of the title track, but of the whole album. If Cradled in Love is an example to go by, then I don't think I'll be disappointed in the least.

@Dark Side of Light
Agreed :)
First thing came to my mind when I read your comment : "... So breathe your life in my shades of grey... "
For me in the world there is no evil or good, mostly there is something in between. Both, the devil and an angel, on one card tells me that they both belong together and hold the balance.

@BenAkenobi
yes, true .... a devil may smile with an angel's face !

@Gambit
"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
Wow, a real good quote!

... and I always expect a lot from the lyrics of Poets of the Fall and never got disappointed. :)

I realise the original three amigos write and produce the music, but are Jari, Jani and Jaska at all involved in the recording of this new album?

Good question.For the last two albums they were involved as much as they were available if I recall correctly.
But wait, there was a picture in one of their tweets with Jari. The Tweets saying "Jari thinks this song needs more cowbell" so from that I would assume the answer is yes.

@Redbossfan

You meant this: https://twitter.com/#!/PoetsOfTheFall/status/128821602254192640/photo/1

It says: Jari thinks this song needs more cowbell. Greetings from rehearsals!

I guess the answer tends to be no. :|

About how many songs the album has, what do you think? POTF songs always abated chronologically... SoL and CoR, 12; RR, 11; and TT, 10...

I'd say 8. And the one after that only 5. And so on... :cry:

Just kidding. :P Since it's a part of a SoL + CoR trilogy, I'd say 12 as well, but then again, I'm pretty horrible at guessing (I mean, I tend to guess wrong a lot).
