Another trilogy... Marko on cover arts! TT and ToT. What's next? T&T with Marko on the cover? Damn, it's a maze of trilogies...!

Thanks for the link, Lisa. :)

:D I was just going to say that the cover is much closer to TT than to CoR and SoL.
I have mixed feelings about it. I like the idea, I'm not so sure I like the execution. So angel and devil ey?
I wasn't sure about TT at first either, so I'll reserve judgement until I hold the CD in my hand and can see all the details.
I love the title however and wonder about the songs on there. No guessing for me, ready to be surprised.

Thank you for the link Lisa.

you're welcome ^^

yeah, the style does look like TT... I meant the tarot reminded me of COR video, not cover :)

The new album cover looks surprisingly glamorous:"Nice job POTF Guys!" and i'm already looking forward to the song titles

And.. i could've never come by the 'Temple Of Thought' title :o Sounds really like a philosophical one 8)

I almost don't want to say this, cos I have so much respect for POTF, but my first reaction to seeing Marko as a devil and an angel was... well, the devil part looks like a bodybuilder with a terribly ugly fake tan  Not cool :P Sowwy. I guess it's pretty hot in hell, though...

But yeah, the tarot card likeness reminded me of CoR music video very much as Lisa already mentioned. And I like the title very much, it sounds promising :)

Edit: I got to look at a larger resolution. Marko is striped :D And the whole card looks very aged. It looks like a very old print, from a time when printing tech wasn't quite so sophisticated yet. And the look on Marko's face, he's positively disapproving :D But why is he so in both images? One might think angels and demons are not quite so alike in the way they think and show expression on their faces...
I suppose this is enough analyzing for now :)

I should go to bed, but you made me analyzing, too. And what's that red slab in the upper left-hand corner of the picture? It's bothering me :?

Oh! So many interesting comments, here!!! Thank you all, for so much enrichment, indeed! :D
Needing a proper reading, for sure! Now got just time and mind for a cover's thought... :|

"For it's such a great beauty,
for it's such a great beauty, for it's such a great beautyyyyyyy...
Which nobody can deny!!!"

As I saw it, a huge smile got painted on my face and I said "I knew that!"... when, actually, I never tried to imagine how the cover could be, or the title, either... :| I just waited, quietly, trusting fully in Poets' ability to surprise me by(or with??) the beauty of their opus and, at the same time, to present me the confirmation of "recognize them" through their "expressing themselves" and perfectly finding myself into that... Does it make any sense? :?
Sensations I assimilate, almost "unconsciously", living Poets' world and which reveal themselves/materialize mostly through visual expression/experience (covers), but also interviews, tweets and replies play their own role... while songs are often unveiled secrets...
That RED... "my" red... the first thing I noticed... (ok, to be honest, the FIRST, first one was the half bust... hehe, the Guy worked on himself, looks like that... and very well too... or is it a "photo manipulation"??? If not, many congrats for the form... ).
Back to red, the main color of Poets' albums covers, indeed and I'm so delighted by... wodering what's behind this constant.
The background reminds me of TT, as well as "old/used/worn" idea/imagine; the "protagonist" and his coexisting opposites' theory... imagine reminds me still of TT's gorgeous face; the tarot, TT again, but also CoR (video) and, personally, I see a nexsus with ALCHEMY, too...
I like this cover, YEP! Very much, too!
Reaches the podium, indeed! At the second place, first place is always for my Alchemy cover, third for TT' one.
And now, let's see what songs will reveal more, about our Guys...

Agree with you... I think that without Marko's falsettos it would be much better...
Anyway, I think the lyrics are awesome, and the music. Just didn't like the voice...

After many more listens today, I have something else to say about the song...it's a masterpiece. A piece of musical art. The vocals, the lyrics, the soft music...all of it. It's now my favorite Poets song. The different emotions the song elicits are all over the place, sadness, joy, peace, hurt...all of it, it's there in the whole thing. AMAZING.

Just something I discovered in the cover art... I started looking for it after remembering that TT cover had the release date hidden in it.

There are three dots in one corner of the card, and that would represent the month I suppose. March. And there are four stars, each of them have five points, so that would make it twenty.

Might it be March 4th or March 20th? The first upcoming gig is March 23rd.
Opinions, please :D

March 4th is a Sunday - unlikely I'd say. The 20th is a Tuesday - isn't Friday the regular relaese day for CDs in Finland? March 18th last year was a Friday anyway.

Since they are still working on the album, my guess is closer to the first gig is most likely. I would have guessed either March 16th or 23rd.

Nice logic, but it misses an essential point: Wednesday. All of the POTF albums are released in Wednesday. Nothing mystical in here, just marketing. So, if it's going to be in March - 7, 14 or 21.

edit: redbossfan, Alchemy was out on 16 of March (I think)

Oh, you are right. Where did I get March 18th from? :D That was the 1st gig, not the release date. Of course it has to be a Wednesday then. In that case I'm sure it will be the 21st.

Thanks for your input Arvigeus and redbossfan :)
I wasn't aware all album releases have happened on Wednesday, sounds like fun.
Anyway, if it indeed is the 21st, I looked up some interesting info on it.
For example it's the World Poetry Day which suits perfectly. It's also the Earth Day.
March 20th would have been the equinox.

Every country has its release day - the day of the week on which new albums are released. It is Friday in Germany, I guess Tuedsday in the US and obviously Wednesday in Finland.
So this also means, if the album release in Germany will be "simultaneously", it has to happen or March 16th or 23rd (provided that it's the 21st in Finland). Ha, I was just predicting the release dates in Germany earlier. ;) :P

I love the new single! It's so peaceful and beautiful :)

Only thing is that (althought it's not POTF fault) the new single makes me a bit sad, cos I'm thinking about getting divorced and that song is all about love.

BUT I'm so happy to hear new music from the boys and again great job! <3

Not what I expected as their 1st single, but its a great song! not usually a fan of the falsetto, but love the harmonies in this song, especially since normally its the lower harmonies which feature most with falsetto on top. Here its the opposite, Marko's deeper vocals kinda "grounding" the song so it doesn't get too flighty... Always interesting when its bit more experimental...

Anyone else get a Stobe Harju vibe from the new ToT cover? Would be great if he was involved again with their upcoming videos, think he's made some of their best ones... (SoL, CoR, trilogy............)

Yep, I thought the same. even checked his website if it is listed under art he has done, but it's not there.
I doubt he has time for videos though - judging by his tweets he seems to be pretty tied up in his Nightwish movie projcet (Imaginaerum) at the moment.

Seems like the new album called Temple of Thought will be out in March, 21st, and played live first times at the Saint-Petersburg, Moscow and Kyiv gigs besides the possible earlier presentation somewhere in Finland.

I guess the album cover shows us that each person keeps the angel and the demon inside. Did you notice that it’s the same shot of Marko, but in two different kinds of postprocessing?

I think many people (females) took a closer look at Marko just to realize that.

At the moment I'm wondering why they chose the singular form of "thought". Personally "Temple of Thoughts" would have had a different meaning for me than "Temple of Thought". Don't know how to put it. I should probably stop having more coffee... Image

Temple of Thought sounds more... like: it's not a temple for the thoughts, it's the temple for the Thought, the act of thinking itself.

explaining concepts in a language that's not your own = not easy ^^

@Sir: march 21st? Did they announce it?

Okay, here are my thoughts about the cover:

I realy love it :)
On this card I recognized first an angel and upside down a devil. Looking a bit closer I noticed that it's Marko's face. When I think about some pictures of him and watching him live, he got much more muscles than a year ago. I guess some work in the gym. Was he so successful? I really can't tell - might be photochop and I hope that the horns are not real  but this isn't important for what the picture or card tells me. Actually for me it has the message that in all of us is something good and something bad and somehow the NENB line came into my mind: "It's like you can't, can't kill the monster that feeds on you".
The title "Temple of Thought" fits perfectly too because all the good and bad thinking happens in this Temple (body). We keep there our secrets and it's a place to hide and feel safe, sorting all kind of things out before going public.

Beside all that meaning I put into this picture there is something else I noticed. I thought at first that I have to take a closer look at it and that I want to hold the picture in my hands so I can better see. But as there is still a lot of time until I can hold it in my hands I enlarged it on the computer screen and it was even bigger than it will be on the cd, but I still had the feeling that I can't see all of it. And than I had to laugh about myself. I really thought that when holding the picture in my hands that I could grab the card and can look at it not only from this point of view but also right upon it.... turning it around etc. Yeah! For me the picture has become three-dimensional. Silly me!

Okay, I stop now before you all fell asleep  but somehow I wanted to share this with you. :)

I read a boxing manga (Hajime no Ippo). A temple there is refered as to the head. So the Temple of Thought is the head, the brain part to be more exact :)

Same here :D I just created a new account....

Anyway, I have to say I like the full version much much more. (Well, I always like the longer versions, hmmm.) I think it brings out (the background) music better, I like that :)
I wonder if there are going to be any instrumentals available. <3 those too
(I seem to love a lot of things...)
