Contagion - Good

Melancholia - After a long waiting, but it's not what I expected. Lars Von Trier tried a lot to make it a deep one. The story is good; each character is representative of a group of people when they face a threat. However, the insight and despair the main character has don't match. And she wants to say that the world is hollow, and life is like shackles. Well, we all know that, what's new?

Margin Call - As an independent film, it's nice.

The Illusionist - For the third time, and it's still beautiful.

Bought myself a Star Wars complete saga blu-ray pack because Santa broke our (telepathic) roommate agreement and brought me just socks and pants...... What a traitor that old man!

I agree! It was better than the first one. Stephen Fry as a Mycroft Holmes was just great :)

Loved how Andy Serkis once again managed to give so much soul to an CGI character. The story was mostly mediocre though :|

The Lion King 3D

Although I have seen The Lion King a thousand times before, I just had to go watch it because I wanted to see The Lion King in movie theatre. It was a great experience and if possible I will go watch more old Disney Classics to cinema in the future :)

The King's Speech

If you think of it, the idea of the plot is so minimalistic, but yet so impressive and touching. Fantastic movie! We loved it even though I've been doubtful about how it could be entertaining. But it was, both in a fun and brainy way.

The King's Speech

Agree, it was impressive. Touching but also funny at some moments. The actors played in a very realistic way, it was amazing. I really liked it.

I love The King's Speech

What I saw last?

Chinese take-away (Un cuento chino)
I enjoyed this one. It was a lovely story

I travel alone (Jag reiser alene)
I didn't like this as much as The Man who loved Yngve, but it was still a good movie. Loved the young actress who played Lotte.

Untouchable (Intouchables)
Heartwarming, intelligently-funny, well acted and well told. Loved it and recommend it to anyone

Anonymous - An entertaining take on the writings of Shakespeare. I doubt I'll ever watch it again, it's a one-time viewing.

Beginners with Ewan McGregor, a bit weird, such a silent and bitter-sweet movie.

Not sure if this counts strictly as a film, but The Firebird ballet (a film project by dancer Andris Liepa). It's amazing, just amazing. I think I'll watch it again in a couple of days...

North by Northwest - You'll miss it the next day.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - The only positive points were Daniel Craig and locations (Sweden, UK, Germany); the story is also good but nothing special...

How many actor has to memorize and excite 500 friggin' moves to kick butt in one scene? And guess who chipped in the money, took no salary, to finish the last Matrix? Yep, Keanu! 8)

Ok I go away now! :D

I watched "The Tree Of Life" tonight.

Really different and very hard to explain "different how"!
Some parts were too much for my small brains :?
Not added to my list of favourites. Maybe to my list of "What?"...

I know he's wicked cool!

@Bloomster

I haven't been able to see that one....The Tree of Life doesn't get shown around these parts, but I sure would love to see it....I will catch in on dvd for sure. I love Sean Penn and Brad Pitt can be great! If you liked Brad Pitt in the movie, check out 12 Monkeys and Fight Club, if you haven't already.

First rule about Fight Club? Don't talk about Fight Club!

I don't know if it's related, but it reminded me of some elements in Buddhism. In Buddhism, the outer world could be perceived as Schopenhauer says: "A vale of tears" to activate your inner sight and power... :|

It has a pretty sad ending but I liked the story, though.

Disney's Tarzan and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Forgot how terrific the music is in Hunchback. RIP Tony Jay, voice of Judge Frollo.

Both excellent films, very entertaining.
