Hey everyone! My name is Anthony! I have recently started a Facebook group hoping to find a local organizer who would be willing to allow Poets of the Fall to perform in the United States! Please take a moment to show some support, it's much appreciated!

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Get-An-Eastern-US-Organizer-to-Allow-Poets-of-the-Fall-to-Tour-the-USA/162624600495501?skip_nax_wizard=true#!/pages/Get-An-Eastern-US-Organizer-to-Allow-Poets-of-the-Fall-to-Tour-the-USA/162624600495501

(Sorry for the complicated URL text, I have no idea how to fully make shortened URL links...)

Hey! I am a fan from Nashville, kinda in between the north and the south :)

What are your plans? If you don't mind my asking? :)

For now, just gathering supporters. High numbers can influence organizers and sponsors who will see the higher opportunity to make money. I am also going to be working on earning some money to help out with the sponsors and organizers. The plan isn't completely set in stone right now, but I think there's a good ground basis and I'll have to see where it goes depending on what happens during recruiting.

We've got to get more people to that facebook page.
How do we do that? I can put it on twitter but I don't have many followers.
I can put it on my Tumblr too, I have some Poets fan followers there.

By the way, I am Susan, you should see my posts on the FB page:)

Of course I see them =) You're my most active member currently! I am working hard on idea's for advertisement. If I can earn enough money, I am hoping to promote it on Facebook. I have a cause page going that I've linked a few times to on the Facebook page, as well as a YouTube video I've uploaded for the cause itself.

For now, I am thinking of idea's that may benefit the cause with more members and supporters. If you have any suggestions, I am open to hear them. =)

I kind of have an idea, though I don't know if it will amount to anything. I know an online journalist who writes entertainment articles. I am going to message him and put a bug in his ear about Poets. Just maybe he will be interested enough to write something and I will also tell him about the FB cause to try and get a US organizer to bring them to the US. I will keep you updated on what he says. It's a long shot but even longer if I don't try, so try I will! Wish me luck!!

There are many alternative and college radio stations across the US. Those are also excellent places to start.

Then you can also go one step further and try to get the Late Night TV shows to notice POTF!

(I have all email addresses of all the hosts if anyone else wants to write them too).

I have recently been attempting to get Greg and the Morning Buzz, which is a popular station in New England, to recognize them, but alas, no luck as of yet.

Getting their music known by radio stations and Late Night TV shows is definitely an excellent place to start, I agree! The issue is communicating with them and actually convincing them to get others to recognize this wonderful band =)

Snow, I will take the addresses please. I find this to be a worthy cause and want to do my part:) I really want Poets to play in the US. I really need to see them play live, and when I say NEED I'm being serious. They are too amazing to not see and hear in person. I have to. Even if I have to go to Finland, lol, but I'd rather they come here:)

Ok so I emailed the online journalist I know and sent him links to some videos and songs, as well as the link to the web page and other information on Poets. He replied that he will take a look at what I sent him and let me know what he thinks. It may not amount to anything or it may amount to an article about Poets being published on line here in the US. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

The online Journalist I mentioned above has started an internet radio program. He broadcasts once a week and usually plays theme songs from movies/tv and obscure type things. This weeks broadcast is his 8th and is featuring video game music so I took that opportunity to message him again and let him know that Poets has several songs in video games and maybe he could include them. I also said again that it would be great if he could do a write up on them.

This was his response:

"Thanks for the message and I will try to play at least one and look into writing about them! Thanks once again for the reminder!"

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!! I will keep you updated!!

Some success here! Oscar Benjamin(Compassionate Wolf) mentioned and played a Poets song on his radio show tonight! He played War and mentioned Poets before and after the song.
Still nudging him to do the written article, but this little step made my night!!
I will link it when he gets it in archives, which should hopefully be by next week!! Yay for a bit of promotion in the US!!

Dang Tobyanca! I'm so sorry! This is the first time I have seen this posted  I have been busy with some other online thingy, my site and a hacker, for some weird reason....so that's why I haven't been about!

Can you please send me your email? I have lots of addresses and some sites to give you , if you like :)

I am trying my best to bargain with my local Nashville alternative DJ by answering tons of surveys, and he has the music, he just hasn't played it.....I am a bit mad about this since i have put a lot of time into his survey's yet nothing gets done about putting POTF music on the radio.

Tomorrow Mr Hall will find another email from me saying I will be very happy to complete these survey's, but I really wish he would at least listen to the songs and give me some feedback. In a real nice southern way now...... I choose my words wisely, sometimes  .

Thanks Snow! I pm'd you my email address. ANd good luck with your endeavor!

Ok, an update on my journalist friend. He hasn't archived the radio show he played Poets on yet, but I will link it as soon as he does, but...
on last nights show, he was playing a lot of Bond theme songs(cuz his show is movie themes, tv themes and video game themes) so when he played you know my name by Chris Cornell, I told him "hey!! Poets does a cover of this and it's great" (cuz there is a chat room during his broadcast where you can message him) and he commented back that he will play poets on a future broadcast, which made me happy. So then, I posted the Poets video of that song on his facebook wall.
Then, all of a sudden today, he has reposted the vid on his wall and commented that he is quite impressed with this group and is going to try and set up an interview with them!!!
In another comment, he mentions that the more he listens to this group, the more he likes them! So keeping my fingers crossed that he gets the interview, and at the very least, does an article on them! This will be a bit of exposure in the US! And every little bit helps right?? He does have a lot of readers of his articles here in the US! And he writes quality articles of the entertainment industry!!! Here's hoping this comes to pass!!

Also, here is his FB page so you all can know who he is:
http://www.facebook.com/#!/compassionate.wolf

Another update on the above post. Remember how I posted last week that I sent my journalist friend the vid of You Know My Name? Well, on his show tonight he played it!! He said "this is an incredible version of this song" And so I thanked him in the live chat that goes on during the show and he thanked me for introducing their music to him and said, quote, "This a great band and I will start pushing them!" He also mentioned once again that he will try and get an interview with them.
This made me happy!! :)

I started a new U.S. street team for the U.S.(any region) a couple days ago.
The other was inactive and the only other one I found was labeled as East Coast.
Here is the link:
http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/groups/325226050844273/

And, my journalist friend has joined today so now we have a journalist on the team. He said he was going to try getting an interview. :)

We've got 12 people already for only 3 days, not bad:)

Should I post the link in the street team section? It doesn't look very active in there.

@Tobyanca

You are a super USA fan for sure!!

Joined the group, um, of course! And working on a USA Street Team website, not limited to USA, anyone.....but it's not completely set up for joining....working on that one!

I have gotten lots of support from the creative members here, and the awesome Tiia, but if anyone has anything they would like to contribute, like a wallpaper or some such, let me know :) .

I am working on adding a category devoted to photos and pics fans have taken or created too :) .
