I am not sure if this post is even right in these cathegory, please dont be mad at me when I am totally wrong here XD
I just wanted to share something.
Yesterday on POTF´s last gig in 2011 in the Virgin Oil in Helsinki I was able to film the first 17 songs of the concert and I wanted to share the playlist on youtube with you. If you are interested

Thank you cat, that is so awesome. I was standing there during the acoustic set, thinking "I hope someone is filming this" and you did. Thank you for sharing.
Other videos usually get shared either in the pictures thread or in the tour reports. We don't have a thread for it so far (at least I don't think we do).

I watched all 17, some multiple times!! You are so lucky to have been there! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing!

Awww I am so happy that you liked them I am a little sad that most of the songs I actually filmed are kinda slow ones, and that I missed the best part of the Carnival of Rust song and as well the last 2 which were fast and rocky ones...aww I cannot even remmeber which ones they played in the end I was too fascinated about the whole concert ^^

Anyways, I wish you all a nice 3rd advent and will drive to the Helsinki cencert now to finally buy christmas presents *sigh*

You only missed one song. Lift was last after CoR.
And the Shakira part totally cracked me up that night.
Thank you again for filming these. It makes me so happy to be able to go back and enjoy everything all over again.

@Cat, I've already thanked you (yt comments, YSH ) but I'll repeat myself: kudos, I loved the videos, especially the acoustic set, thanks to them I'm almost no longer sad I couldn't be there myself (@redbossfan, you're tour reports are a great help as well, I'm waiting for the 4 other ones to follow )

Oh my, the Shakira part cracked me up, too. It was the funniest thing that happened during the gig

I myself took a lot of video clips and pictures also. I hate how blurry the most of the pictures are, I just wish that systems cameras would be allowed to use for taking better pics. I've heard it's forbidden to photograph on gigs with systems camera without a somekind of permission from the band or something like that

That's not true, at least not for the Poets and this venue. I take my DSLR to their gigs all the time. The only thing the guys do not allow is flash photography (and I'm not sure about professional video cameras), but less than that they are pretty easy going about pictures. soemtimes the venues won't allow system cameras though (e.g. the Nosturi in Helsinki does not). As for other bands - have no idea.

Ok, I just wanted to know because I got a systems camera as a birthday gift and I wasn't sure if it is allowed to take pictures on the gig with that kind of camera (my dad told me something about photographing with that kind of camera isn't allowed usually), so I brought my digital camera with me instead. And before the gig day I looked Virgin Oil's site for the frequently asked questions about photographing and there said something like this: "Photographing is allowed with regular cell phones and digital cameras. If you want to use video or systems camera, you'll have to contact to the band's agent if it's ok to use those kind of devices to photograph or film."


But thanks about the information you gave me redbossfan, good to know for the future gigs
Btw, I have to say that I'm embarassed, because I took some pictures with the flash but this was my first time using it and I won't do that again, I'll be nice next time

Sometimes it helps to take a look at the forum rules about photography

My pictures I took in between the videos all turned out sooo badly. Blurry and any small movement totally destroyed the pic (and I did of course without flash, any more reson why it went so badly)... the light was just not bright enough. And I just have a better normal tiny digital camera. So... forget the pics - more videos XD
