1) does Marko play guitar? in the cd book you can see him in a picture (in a recording room maybe) with an electric guitar. I've never seen that before...

2) why do you think all the songs are "written by poets of the fall" and not by the single member who actually wrote it or came up with the original idea?
For example I guess that songs like dawn and all the way 4U could have been written by Captain (keybord rulez). It would be interesting to know which member of the band wrote lyrics and music of each song...

1) yes marko plays guitar (for example: he wrote late goodbye), he also plays piano... and can play a bit öhm chello (i think)
2) i think they all give her ideas to a song. althought the mainparts came from the specializes guys :)

2) I think they don't want to have any hierarchy like "He only sings and person 2 only plays the guitar." The whole band is involved in creating parts of a song.

I remember reading in an interview somewhere that Marko admits freely that Ollie is the 'guitar-man'. That is, he's much better than Marko. In live concerts, I guess Marko gives his guitar role to Jaska(?) or another so that he can concentrate on scintillating vocals.

I guess Mark's more of a rythm-player... Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't really imagine Mark playing the solo from Fire ;-) Enter "Guitar-man".

2) Usually Mark writes the lyrics, but often Ollie helps him to "complete" them. I bet that and Captain is making some of the lyrics.

1) I wish to see Mark playing on some concert with some instrument, but you cannot stuck him on one place. He always is moving to somewhere (what newer moves is never still). It's fine and now.

3) When is born Captain? I know the date, but I don't know the year... Is Ollie born in 1976?

Did you notice that he's 'singing' into a desk lamp in that picture? :D

Remember... most of the lyrics were composed by Mark awhile back, some of hundreds. But the songs alone are by the Poets. Ollie is the icing and captain is the cherry. And ta da...

1. WHO writes messages on POTF' Twitter? (I'm not sure who it is - Marko, Captain or someone else...).

2. Are POTF gonna collaborate with Stobe Harju again?

1. Oftentimes they seem to post from the studio(?), so maybe they all agree on what to write (and also how often). But who does the actual typing, I have no idea. Maybe it's not always the same person ^^

2. In one of the interviews they said they enjoy collaborating with Stobe Harju very much, but because of timetable factors (both POTF and Stobe's) they can't always do that. So there might be Stobe+POTF music videos coming up sometime in the future. When it comes to Stobe, he's involved in a big movie project with Nightwish at the moment, so that might take up very much of his time, even though the actual shooting has been done already. There will be a lot of post production, and after that promotion, to do.

I hope these answers are of some use. If Admin wants to give more specific ones, I'll be all ears as well :)

My 2 cents:

To the best of my recollection either the Poets or our Admin have answered both of these questions before.

1. whoever happpens to be at the computer (the Poets said that multiple times when asked on Twitter)

2. is not only a time, but also a money question. Making a video like CoR or LUTS costs lots of money and my best guess is that Stobe won't work for free either, so they may not be able to afford it. (I think Admin said that here on the forum somewhere)
The last time they worked with Stobe was on the cover art for TT by the way, I would not be surprised if he was involved with cover art again.

Welcome to the world of music business, where there are no "friends"...

Seriously speaking, it's not the director's salary alone that costs. Making an average music video takes a team of at least a dozen people, and all of them need to get paid. Plus all the equipment that has to be rented, catering, locations, and so on, Even if the director made it for free, that wouldn't bring the total cost down much.

Yeap, any business is like this, actually. Even though you're friendly with people you work and collaborate with, it doesn't mean they'll do things free for you nor should they. Imagine being on good terms with all your clients, what will you live on? Besides, if you're a decent friend, you don't ask for endless amounts of free work from them...
Just my opinion on this.
