Thought that I would make this kind of topic about your favourite games and game series. Mine fav games and game series are:

-Tomb Raider (I like Ps1 TRs better)
-Fatal Frame games (though I've only played and have the third)
-Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2
-Tekken (4, 5 & 6, 5 is the best in my opinion)
-Crash Bandicoot (for Ps1)
-Rayman
-Spyro (for Ps1)
-No One Lives Forever 1 & 2
-Gex games
-Sly games
-Old Disney's licence games
-Super Mario games for NES
-Super Mario World 2
-Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2
-Mirror's Edge
-Okami
-Heavy Rain
-Mortal Kombat

I think that's all, it might be that I forgot something :P I have so many favourite games

EDIT(9th March 2012): Added some new favourites

- Baldur's Gate series (Pretty oldish, and I doubt many still know these, but it's one of the best RPGs I've been playing when I was younger)
- Max Payne 2 (old but gold.. and it had a nice outro music :p)

Apart from that, I like Angry Birds on iOS devices for it's physics-based gameplay. Finnish developers, btw. :)

Those 2 are easily in top5 for me aswell. I've never played Shadow hearts 1 or 3 altho I would really like to see how the story connects. In Shadow Hearts 2 using real world as a setting and historical characters was really nice idea. (And the game even gave reason why first world war started. :P ) I really should play it again some time. :)

I'm not going make a list but the best game I've played is probably Suikoden V. The story and the music just suck you in and you can't stop playing before you see The End on your screen. :P

Shadow Hearts 3 was quite a letdown after the brilliance of SH2 -it's not bad, but the characters and the plot isn't as engaging. Shadow Hearts 2 is fighting really hard with FFIX for the title of best RPG in my books -and it would win if FFIX hadn't been my first proper RPG :D Fabulous games both of them :)

Heh FFIX was my first rpg too. I think I was 10 years old when I played it so didn't understand a thing but I still thought the game was awesome. :D (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKAoSY5bhSw <3 )

- The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past (greatest video game ever)
- Metal Gear Solid 1&2
- Tekken 3
- Super Mario World
- Gran Turismo 2
- Alan Wake
- Mass Effect 1&2

The old ones will always be the best. I enjoy modern games "less" or at least differently than the old ones. Some games simply have this "atmosphere of awesomeness", sadly, even Alan Wake and Mass Effect lack it.

Alan Wake is one my favorites. But since it's not for PC, I couldn't play it.

I'll just start with Max Payne I & II, and Alan Wake. Those are all a given. :P

Now then:

Silent Hill series
Fatal Frame series
Resident Evil series
Thief series (for XBox and PC)
Morrowind (I have Oblivion but haven't tried it yet)
Plants vs. Zombies
FFX
Kingdom Hearts

And a bazillion others, but those are all my tops atm.
And then I thought I'd throw these old favorites in:

Old school:
Coleco: Smurfs
Atari 2600: Yars' Revenge, Missile Command, Defender
Nintendo: Shadowgate, Super Mario Bros. II, The Legend of Zelda
PC: Shadow of the Beast (I remember my brother coming home with footage and we were blown away.) :P

I could list games for Sega, or the PS1, but I won't bore you with that. :P I also remember a game called Shockwave that was on an old, short-lived console, but I can't remember if it was the Atari Jaguar, or the 3DO.

Yeah, I've played games for a while. As I've often said, I'm probably one of the last generations to play the original Pong.

I have to say, that one of my childhood's favourite games was Disney's pc game Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (well, I really played the demo of it, but it was still great :P ) The game is about detective named Maui Mallard (who looks like a twin of Donald Duck) and he was able to transform into a ninja named Cold Shadow :D I played it's demo all the time when I was little and last time I played it on Snes at my friend's house. I still got the demo, but it isn't working on Windows XP :(

I wish I had PS3 or(and) Xbox 360... :( I would like to own games like Uncharted 1 and 2, Alan Wake, Heavenly Sword, Red Dead Redemption, R&C A Crack In Time, ETC... But one day when they are cheap enough I will buy a console or two........

And I am anxiously waiting for the Pokemon Black and White release in Europe...... 8) A little off-topic, sorry about that, naughty me...

Ah, almost forgot: PEGGLE EXTREME! :D And finally Rapid Roll from my cell phone.... Old Pokemon games are pretty epic and legendary too. The list is so looonnnggg... :o

Hahah, everybody plays Peggle on our school's computers (myself too :P ) It's a nice game, a little bit addicting
Speaking of offtopic, I should have made this topic into game-talking-topic, so we could speak about games in general.

Well my favourites are almost all that I even own (which aren't that many and not in a particular order)
Almost all of the Pokemon games there are (as of yet - only exceptions are those games for Wii [I don't own one and I am not interested in rectifying that fact])
Age of Empires 2
Sims 2&3
and the first two Yugioh Games for Gameboy which Titles I have forgotten

Max Payne
Max Payne 2
Alan Wake (see a trend emerging here?)
The Darkness
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Deus Ex
Doom (I sometimes love to dwell on the classics)
The Punisher
X-Men Origins Wolverine - Uncaged Edition
Prototype 2

Others include the F.E.A.R series, Marvel Ultimate Alliance (I am sort of a comic book geek), all the other games in the series above (in my top 10) that I haven't mentioned (aside from Max Payne 3 and the Doom sequels), the Assassin's Creed series, Left 4 Dead, Wet, Star Wars (Knights Of The Old Republic and the Jedi Knight series - I went kind of nuts over those games as a kid) and that's all I can think of at the moment but I know there's more I enjoyed.
