I'm sad, so sad because my best friend (well, I thought he was my best friend) let me down and I don't know why...

How come whenever I stay up late, I end up thinking about how I don't really know anyone that I could really trust enough to call him my 'best friend'? Much less a girlfriend or anything...(Not like I'd want to whore myself out to just any girl anyway.)

I mean, sure, I've got quite a few friends, and I get along with them pretty darn well. It's kinda impossible to have no friends, after all...but in my case, I just feel that I kinda don't have all 'that' much in common with them. It's kinda hard at times to confide in them, or even to simply have a bit of fun with them or anything.

It's just annoying. *shrug* I'm prolly rambling again, aren't I?

I'm one of those who can only take so much stimulation before I have to go away and process it all. That's where my writing and drawing comes from, really. And while I've used it to my advantage, it makes me lonely, too.

I'm sad today because I'm missing those I wish lived a little closer. It almost feels like I'm more connected to them than I am to people standing right in front of me. Most of the time I'm fine. Today, it hurts. :(

Quote:
Every year, around 14th June, Baltic communities all over the world commemorate the mass-deportations from their homelands by USSR occupying forces, to the Siberian gulags during and after WWII.

In June 1940 Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania were occupied by Soviet Russia. One year later, on the fatal night of 14 June 1941, at least 60,000 people from those three countries were deported at a single stroke to the remote Siberian regions of the former USSR. Some 27.000 Lithuanians were arrested and deported during the week of 14 and 20 June 1941, before the Soviet-German war broke out 22 June 1941.
Every year, around 14th June, Baltic communities all over the world commemorate the mass-deportations from their homelands by USSR occupying forces, to the Siberian gulags during and after WWII.

The deportations of 14 June 1941 were acts of macabre political violence never before experienced by the Baltic people. The vivid memory of that day has remained indelible in the minds of Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians.

The fate of the Baltic States was decided by the so-called Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact of August 1939 between Nazi Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (see below article). A secret protocol to this treaty assigned Finland, Estonia, Latvia and eastern Poland to the Soviet orbit.

In June 1940 a Soviet ultimatum demanded new Baltic governments "able and willing to secure the honest application of the Soviet-Baltic mutual assistance treaty". The following days Soviet forces occupied the whole region.

People of all social strata and nationality were deported, and it is hard to speculate about the general principle underlying these deportations. The victims were generally those regarded as 'socially harmful or undesirable.' For several months preceding the deportations, the NKVD (later renamed to KGB) employees were engaged in composing the lists of people to be deported. Later, it became clear that these lists were composed haphazardly and were based on apparently unconfirmed denunciations.

The deportation process often started with an NKVD truck approaching the house where the target family lived. Two of the three NKVD men in the truck entered the house and told the victims to pack up. Some people got twenty minutes to pack, others, an entire day. The manner was rude, the soldiers did not give any consideration to age or illness. There were cases when persons to be deported were carried into the truck on a stretcher. Then the load of deportees was taken to cattle wagons which were already waiting for them on a side track of the railway station.

We should always rember those, who couldn´t choose their faith. Especially when those crimes still seem to be justified for some ppl. War and the rule of Nazis ended, but their concentration camps continued under another, approved rule.

"If I tell you who she is, she will die. If I tell you where she hides, I'm lost."

Everybody has secrets. You have yours, I have mine. I just can't bear them, but I can't tell anybody. Something has always been wrong and I'm not even the one I think I am.

I've changed for the past few months, I've become a better person but this something is still broken. I'm tired but I must stay awake. I know I need to talk, there's someone to listen, I know, but I can't talk. I can't bear my burden alone but it's the only thing that keeps me alive. I will soon have nothing to hold onto, I've never felt that scared and that alone.

:(

I just heard that Clarence Clemons died last night. Sax player of the E Street Band, blood brother, amazing stage presence and boy, could he make that saxophone sing.
Second member of the band to pass on since I've know them. He leaves a Big Man size hole in this band that cannot be filled. I consider myself lucky to have seen him on stage so many times and feel honored that I even had a chance to meet him. Thank you for the music, Big Man. Rest in peace. You will be missed. *crying*

The glorious comeback of Tossu-sama and straight to the sad thread, lol...

I dunno. Guess I'm just having a bad day overall... Trying to deal with being stuck in a body that ain't mine and seeing some fugly turd in the mirror when it seriously isn't what I am and want to look like.

Since the Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami took responsibility of those terrible actions, the worst is coming. Especially for immigrants since they will be persecuted because of what some ppl from their culture did.
This multiculturality really messes things up...

There's so much war and death already. I simply cannot understand how such terrible things as the massacre on Utøya can be. R.I.P.

I really had to read the news about what happened in Norway a couple of times before I could believe it. It's unconceivable that something like that happens, it's really shocking ._.

This Norway thing truly is shocking but still, somehow, strangely interesting from a political, psychological and historical point of view...... I mean, what could possibly drive this man into such extreme deeds? His ideals? His mental problems? The dedication he has.............

I do see signs...... Gaddafi and Libya..... The death of Osama...... The rise of parties resisting immigration..... Let's just hope we can negotiate things through........ Or is a chaos just unavoidable because of over-population and global warming.......? The chaos of human species, the chaos of this planet.......

Can tomorrow be a better day when they're already locking up the sun? Will love find an answer when the population grows and we save our fellow humans? And in the emptiness there's a solution: condoms? Sure, but can condoms stop wars?

This is a peaceful forum but it appears not every one is.............. So let us stay this way... Sharing the word of emotion spread by Poets.....
