@Lunarwolf Great report! :D Love the way you describe the atmosphere there. When the intro started I immediatly felt like I had had got back home. I was feeling so great after the gig that I just went around hugging people. :D And I really, really missed you too.

The thing that sticks to my mind mostly, was just before Carnival of Rust. At the front row there was this young girl, who had a gray felt bowler hat. Marko asked her if he could borrow it, put in on top pf his head and said that he has to get into the character. Then he struck a pose that was straight from the video and held it for a few moments. Then he “came to life”, grinned maniacally and started moving mechanically as the song started. Then he returned the hat and started to perform the song as usual. I was awestruck and just stared at the stage and said “whoa” under my breath.
That thing really struck me too.

As being the girl with the grey felt hat, U can probably guess how much this struck me

After the gig I gave M a hug and placed the hat on his head again. He told me it was cool; something I consider good taste. That hat has been on important heads!

I can imagine that you felt in seventh heaven ... or a bit above the clouds :)

It isn't on Cat's videos, but I found another one where Marko takes the hat from you. A wonderful moment for sure :)

Sure ... very important ... Marko's DNA is all over it

okay, it make me little jealous of people who attended the gig :P

Thank you so much, Redbossfan (Stef if I may? ) for this beautiful and moving report... There's so much love in it! I understand now why the guys will never forget the Russian gigs! They are so close to those who love them... They give as much as they receive... :D Thanks again for sharing your happiness with everyone :)

I don't think I know you well enough yet to be on first name basis hough ;) but don't worry about it.

Wow, what a great report! Than you Reddbossfan for it! Since I had no money or time to participate, it was nice to hear what was going on there. It also made me a bit sad that I wasn't there, it being so special and everything. But hopefully next time they revisit Russia, I will be able to go as well.

Thank you for this awesome report. It feels like I've stood in the first row with you ... and I even got some cold feet while waiting in the cold, but finally I could feel the heat of the moment. Thank you so much for this :)

Thank you Porthos13. I loved writing about it :) If I managed to take you there with me, all the better.

I am sooo "jealous" and happy for all of you guys who met them!

I've never ever been to a gig before (I've never found people to go with me, and it's no fun to attend a gig alone... :() and now I wish my very first gig will be a POTF one! (yeah, first times are important teehee). Because of my exams, I won't go to Ukraine in May (and plus I highly doubt my parents would ever let me travel there alone), but I hope there will be gigs in Helsinki after August! But again, I will have to find people to meet so I won't be alone. Who wants to let me in? ahaha

Anyway, I read two-three reports and it's so awesome! This band is even greater than I could imagine. Thanks a lot for sharing!

@redbossfan: I even read your very first report about the gig in 2007 and I couldn't help but smile. Your experience sounded so amazing!

@MaydayCall

I wasn't either on a PotF gig  and as you I hope to go in the future. But when reading all the comments about the concerts I'm pretty sure that I won't be alone. I think we will find enough PotF addicted who will be with us .... being a Poets fan means you are NOT alone.... at least that is my experience since I've joined here. :)

As I dind't notice you on the welcome thread I send you a total "out of the topic" welcome. :D I hope you will have so much fun as I have. :)

Oh thank you, glad I could make you smile. It was amazing and it has been ever since. :)

No reason to be "jealous" though, your time will come ;) (when I was 18 I had seen one concert only, in my hometown)

and Porthos13 is right - you won't be alone. POTF fans are generally a nice bunch and I assure you you'll meet people to hang out with and talk to, just don't be shy. ;)

For those of you who aren't bored with my reports yet and want to read some old ones, you can do so here: http://passioncolorseverything.com/blog/?page_id=219

I have added all of my 2007, 2008 and 2009 concerts. 2010 will follow, but it's going to take a while.

Sorry about the double post

I've bookmarked the link ... because it's a lot to read. It's great to find the reports on one page.

Thank you so much for sharing and for all the work :)
