The last CD I acquired was a special edition of Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight (the one that looks like a cloth-bound blue book and has a bonus DVD) that I found at an FYE.

Samuli Putro - Älä sammu aurinko
The second solo album from the vocalist of Zen Café. This time with a more optimistic attitude, but still keeping the things that I find luring me to the music: The description of very "every day" things in an interesting way, and often with a healthy dose of humour and irony.

Rubik - Solar
I find that Solar as a name quite nicely describes the feeling I got when listening to the album. :D The album has a big sound and I get the feeling the band has found their own style very nicely this time around. I'm simply blown away by the album, been listening to it non-stop for a while now. :D You can listen to the whole album on the band's website, for a while anyway.

Oh, I love Zen Café and never knew the vocalist has made solo albums! I totally need to check them out, thanks for letting me know about this (if even unintentionally :D )

As for myself: Alchemy Vol. 1 of course! :D And it finally arrived today, wooo! :)

Got a bunch of slightly different ones.

Loreena McKennitt-The Book of Secrets
I should've collected her work years ago. I love it, especially her adaptation of The Highwayman.

Newsboys-Born Again
Cool Christian contemporary group. Their song Born Again is stuck in my head, but that's a good thing. It's very catchy, with clever lyrics and rhyming cadences.

Head-Save Me From Myself
Head-aka Brian Welch (former founding member of Korn...yeah, that Head) left the band and became a Christian rock musician. This is his first solo album, and if you're curious to know what it might sound like if Korn was screaming Christian song lyrics, give it a try! I LOVE IT! So far, my favorite song is Flush.
