No End, No Beginning is absolutely amazing song. Potentially one of my favourite songs from Poets.

If I had to change one thing in the song it'd be adding an additional chorus to the end. But as the artists know what they are doing I'm trusting that they added no chorus to the end intentionally. Anyways, I love the song.

The album itself is a very nice package as well. Booklet looked great as always even though I kind of hoped for a bit longer thoughts for every song. Anyway, the information was fun even though some of it wasn't that new to me.

DVD is great too. Now I don't have to worry about not having the POTF videos stored somewhere in case YouTube goes down :D

PS: Loving the flag!

The original idea was to include a little book with more stories about the songs, but that was one of the many ideas that had to be scrapped, unfortunately. But that's how it goes with any creative product. At first, you have a million cool ideas. Then the limits of budget, time and technology kick in. Finally you get something that doesn't have everything you originally wanted, but at least you did your best. :)

But fortunately these ideas don't get old, so it's possible we'll get all those things later, in one form or another...

I wouldn't mind a digital-only release of such booklet. A PDF and/or an e-reader book format.

I noticed the amazon mp3 version listed a slightly different track listing as the cd one! Is there any reason for this?

That's interesting, thanks for noticing! To me it looks like Amazon has messed up something. Let's see if the band's distributor can fix the problem.

No problem, glad I said something then! lol At first I just figured maybe it was an intentional thing for fans of a digital product to get something a little unique, or because it was from a different provider, but apparently, it wasn't somehow neither, hahaha.. Well, regardless, any poets music is good music! I kinda knew something was up though when I didn't see "war" in there!

Yesterday I watched them with a friend and she said: "Oh the poor thing, who recorded this, had to hold the camera high over the head .... "

So your work has been much appreciated :)

... and I love the other 13 videos too :) I was definitely worth it. Thx again :)

NENB gives me shivers. If I had to describe it with one word it would be bittersweet. And I have liked bittersweetness for a long time. I can find despair in it but also deep love. The awareness of an end with a touch of humble euphoria.

The phrase But I'm secretly grateful you're living this moment with me takes my mind to long summer nights or watching out of a car's window not wanting the journey to end...

Just bittersweet.... :)

And one more thing: I also enjoy Jaska's support vocals in NENB (and every other song as well). They match so well with Marko's voice, like a bit higher echo, it boosts the atmosphere of a song... Just wanted to point this out somewhere.... :)

Actually Jaska doesn't sing in any POTF songs. It's just multiple tracks of Marko's voice, possibly mixed & processed a little differently.

Really. :) If you mean the high-pitched harmony vocals in the end of Shallow, I'd guess that's a processed version of Marko's lead track, created by using some kind of harmonizer software or device (which is kind of evident if you listen to it closely - it doesn't really sound like a human being).

Oh nuts! Bye bye my illusion! Oh well, the songs sound great anyway.... I like the high vocal processes...... :)

As we're sort of answering questions, can I ask something somewhat-related that's been bugging me? Is the drums and bass on RR and TT played by Jani and Jari, or is Captain still using his programming/keyboard to create those effects?

TT is Jani & Jari (combined with some programming), other albums are pure programming.

Do you mean that Jani and Jari don't play bass and drums in COR?

TT is the only album where Jani, Jari & Jaska play. Everything else is made by the other three guys alone. (Besides, when making CoR the album, POTF still had their previous drummer Tapio.)

Thanks for the information Admin. :) I didn't know they had Tapio at COR's time, sorry! May I ask a question... will the 3 J's be on the next album or am I just indiscreet? :)

I was quite sure that Jaska took part in Change. Although I was sure that there's no part for the three ones in the three prior albums, too.
If this mistinguish!!! seems so bold, it's because I've never heard Jaska's voice...

I have no idea. :) Things like these usually depend on simple practical things like if they have a space to record the drums or not (the first albums were made in a living room, where you obviously can't record drums). But as for the next album, I really don't know. We'll see...

What about the songs 'CYHM' and 'NENB'? I guess they've used the regular drums in these songs too :?

Nope, they are programmed. It's pretty evident in CYHM, I guess they made the drums to sound a little synthetic on purpose to fit the mood of the song (or rather to create a certain mood).

Wow, that's pretty amazing, I was sure the bassline on RR (the song) was actually a live instrument. Thanks for clearing that up though. :)
