D'oh! Didn't think about that. They should really offer the booklets for download, that would be so nice.

Sadly, they can't live of what they make with the the band, at least that's what I've heard. I don't know what Janne does besides music, but I do know he's working somewhere.

Thanks for the link you awesome person! :)

I listened to this whole new cd yesterday while driving about and once again, not only some of the very best music, but now I have Sugar Coated Illusions in my mind! I love each song for different reasons, but this is my fave !

Now with the lyrics online I especially find these ones in Killing The Afterglow very cool:

Will the sun keep shining, If they shoot down the birds aflight from the zenith to horizon

Maybe that's how they're locking up the sun.... 8)

that's great! I don't know what the movie is about, but I think the song can fit for a trailer (so is PHNX cinematic rock too? :P ).

Personally, I think the main problem with PE is because of co-writing lyrics. Lyrics are great, subjectively. But when I listen to a song like "Mask of Sanity", I feel like they'd written the lyrics with Marko, first. Then they started thinking about how the song would sound like. And this made their songs a bit emotionless (At least to me). This process doesn't work for recording "Cyanide Skies". Bucause Poets were directly involved in writing lyrics and recording process. So is it true??(Someone who knows)

A big thankyou for introducing me to this fantastic band. I was starting to think I'd never listen to another non-potf track again! :P

I love how they are sticking stuff to Captain's head in one of the vids hehe.

They are? Oh yeah, with support The Rivers of Mars - headline gig it seems. Too bad it's not the 30th - I would have changed my flights for that, but two extra days of vacation is too much.

Is Semifinal the same entrance as Tavastia? Or is it on a side of it?

I honestly don't know, because I've never been to the Semifinal, but I think it is to the side of it.

Saw Phoenix Effect at Semifinal on the 29th, and let me tell you: these guys are so great to see live! If you have a chance, go see them :) They rock so much they shake the walls :P - and they're also such lovely guys ^^

They played almost all the second album (all except Babylon) and Broken Promises, King See No Evil, Hey You and Magic from the first (Magic and Stand Your ground were actually used for the encore).
They have a lot of energy.. and Janne's voice is really impressive :)

Here's some pics I took. First pics are of the opening band, Rivers Of Mars (they were good too... will check out their album)
