Maybe a weird question from "one of those sick perverts": what does the band think about putting vocal-less mixes of songs (a. k. a. instrumentals) on sale? Thanks in advance.

At the moment, they don't have any instrumentals of any of their songs, so that would require opening the mixes (which takes some effort with the older songs), then re-mastering (which costs money). For that reason, I don't think this will happen any time soon. But if it turns out there's a huge market for instrumentals... who knows. :)

While browsing Facebook I saw that it allows adding a music-player to your profile as well as online-store functionality. ---> http://www.facebook.com/pages/Metal-Gear-Solid-2-Sons-of-Liberty/104111142958448?ref=ts&v=wall#!/volbeat

Random question. I havn't completed an order yet, but that notice made me wonder:
Quote:
Please enter your email address. Note! Needed only for delivering the receipt. Remember to download the music immediately after payment.

So I wouldn't be able to download the items later with a link provided in the order receipt via email?

If you are registered to Equal Dreams, you can download the songs later or even stream them from their server (this feature was supposed to go live last week). I'm not sure about other music shops, but at least iTunes lets you download songs only once, and it's your problem not to lose them. :)

EDIT: Yep, there it is in the FAQ:

Yes, everyone probably noticed that Digistore is now officially open. :) A million thanks to all of you for testing & giving some good feedback, all your suggestions are stored in a safe place and will be considered when the shop is developed in the future.

I just bought today "Signs of Life". All went smooth and I am extremely happy that the digistore opened, it is the first real chance for me to buy the music. :)

Love the chance to buy directly from the artist - wish more artists would do this :) Being american I do have to pay more, but since there is no middle man, I don't mind.

I am in agreement that it would be nice to have a currency convert option on the store sight - but isn't that what google is for :P

As far as the statement that youtube does not support subtitles, there is a closed caption area available, but it requires someone to translate - there are a few of the interviews that have been closed captioned, but would be nice to have more (there is a little CC button on the bottom toolbar that will display the subtitles if there are any)

just want to say - keep making music from the heart and doing what you love.. it shows :)

Wouldn't that be awesome ? :D no dumb lyrics and even more importantly: the annoying voice would finally be gone.

Seriously, instrumentals would be great. They'd allow you to listen to the music itself and discover some new sounds within the songs which you didn't know where there before because the vocals have been put "on top". It's tough to explain, but you should know what I mean if you own a surround-sound system.

I'd enjoy instrumentals too, but what I would enjoy even more are acoustic versions of the songs. :) *hint hint*

how about having both instrumentals and a cappella's?
You can enjoy both and, besides, you can listen to them simultaneously and.. voila! You have the complete song too! :P

say goodbye to all the effort in working on the perfect mixing ^^

Just made my first purchase off the Digistore (guess what? :P )

and it's so easy and smooth to use. Far better than iTunes (where the song also wouldn't have been avialable in such short time). Great job with it 8)

Which means yes! Thanks for clearing up! Is it coming out on cd? In that "case" x) I don't want the digital song.
