ACH you got me there! Honestly I am on your and Darwin's side but I just doubt everything from time to time.......

Oh well, this should be on that new "what if" topic but anyway: What if some species evolve the same way as pokemon do, like in a few seconds? BTW pokemon lay eggs too..... :P

All right what the heck I'll just give it a try. The new topic shall be called What if...?! See you all there!

Well I would rather see the universe being created more than anything.....no questions I can possibly think of since I haven't see it being born yet. Maybe questions later.

I don't have a god, and faith is a way of life that I am yet to follow. I just can't believe that 'God' exists. It's far too big a concept for my little mind to understand. My imagination is pretty good, but A god? Isn't that just taking it a bit too far? I mean, some people are worshipping something in the sky, which might not even exist! Can't we stop chasing insanity and just stay safe by worshipping what we know is real. Isn't the Earth good enough for us? If God is real, I would ask him: "Why do people suffer?"

Well I knew that :| .........

But you did "answer", although your "answer" didn't answer my question, so:

Are you a god?

I can answer part of that. You might not like it, but it's still an answer. It's also a question, or a series of questions. :P

Would we know courage, if we didn't know fear? Would we know what true strength is, if we were never weak? Would we know what sincere compassion is, if we didn't experience sincere cruelty? Would we know tolerance if we didn't know pain? Would we know exhilaration without despair?

We suffer, because when we rise up and beat it, we are stronger and better for it.

And why not A god? You yourself said it's a concept beyond human understanding...so how could man invent it? Now, here within us is a truly bizarre nature. For example, I'll simplify the concepts the author and theologian C.S. Lewis brought up, without even mentioning God, or any god, period:

In all situations, we know what we want to do, and what we ought to do. If this is all there is, where does this "ought" come from? And why does all mankind have this extra sense? If you think you don't have it, just think of a situation where you thought or said, "Hey, that's not fair!" That means you want others to hold themselves to a higher standard. If this is all there is, there would be no such thing as this other, higher standard. If that standard is higher than us, it must be perfect. If this is all there is, how did it get there? How could we come up with it? Why do we know what this perfect standard is, if we also know it's impossible to achieve?

Just some ideas to consider. :P

Sorry for answering so late but I just noticed your reply but here goes.

So if this christianity is the "true" religion and there is about 4 billion non-christians out there. As far as I know this god will send all these 4 billion people to hell (or punish them someway w/e) while not giving a chance to turn to christianity at all. For example many people in Africa or Far East won't probably ever even hear about christianity but still they'll go to hell. Doesn't sounds really fair to me.. I hope you understood what I'm after

I'd say these gods were invented to answer the questions humans couldn't answer. And now many of those questions has been answered by science. And I bet science will keep doing that in the future.

But maybe lets leave it at that since this is a bit off topic

Hey, God, do you feel a bit ripped off that Christians had so little imagination that they only called their god 'God' instead of giving you a name?

Or

Can I please buy a Return Ticket to Earth in case I can't find the ticket office when I die?
