I think the band members in the album art are in very big...! and at first I thought the picture is for their youth. :P

But songs names look promising... 8)

Are these known songs fast or slow? I really like the name "All 4 Nothing 4 All". Wish that Mark does again some background noise :)

As I recall there was no slow song in those I heard, but I may be wrong. That was back in April, way too long ago ;) I do remember they sounded different from the first album and I really liked them.

New tourdates are out now :!: :!: :!: Unfortunately only in Finland but the "Release-Party" could be worth to spend myself a short trip to Helsinki. Does anyone plan to fly over from Hamburg, too?

I have never seen POTF or PE live so I haven't heard Phoenix Effect's new songs yet (besides "A Light to Guide" from their myspace). But the new album looks extremely promising! Not to mention the fact that the song titles are amazingly awesome!!! I can't wait for the new album!! :D

My favorites from PE are King See No Evil and A Light To Guide! Although I haven't listened to all their songs. But maybe I'll do it right now!

I've been trying to write down the lyrics of Euphoria, or what I could understand from them.
I warn you, it might contain mistakes and missing parts

EUPHORIA

Euphoria out here, so please come in
and help me to deny lie (?)
----line I can't understand----
to help me fly, I'm so afraid to try

Drop your ball, fire the guns, do anything you want
Kill the flame, kill the love, you are the chosen one.
Losing me, losing you, the only thing I want
but still you are on my mind

CHORUS:
This war keeps going on, but I won't lay down and die
You can strike me down, but I will not live a lie

Deep inside these (?)

Euphoria goodbye, the lights got thick
but I recognize these feelings
No longer shackled by the time
I used to shine a light of false believes

Drop your ball, fire the guns, anything you want
To play the same is to lose the game, so I give up the hunt
It's by far the best thing I've done

CHORUS

Is this the right conclusion, or just my mind's allusion(?)
Show me, cause I don't know where to go
Is this annihilation mess(?) on suffocation
Tell me, what do I need to know

CHORUS

Euphoria

Euphoria I´m here
So please come in and help me to deny
To numb my will, some more wine, to help me fly
I´m so afraid to try

Drop your bombs, fire the guns
Do anything you want
Kill the flame, kill the love
You are the chosen one
Losing me, losing you
The only thing I want
But still, you are on my mind

This war keeps going on, but I won’t lay down and die
You can strike me down, but I will not live a lie
Live inside these dreams

Euphoria goodbye
Your lies cut deep, but I recognize these feelings
No longer shackled by the time
I used to shine, the light of false beliefs

Drop your bombs, fire the guns
Anything you want
To play the same is to lose the game
So I gave up the hunt
And it's by far the best deed I've done

This war keeps going on, but I won’t lay down and die
You can strike me down, but I will not live a lie

Is this the right conclusion
Or just my minds illusion
Show me cos I don´t know where to go
Is this annihilation
Bliss or suffocation
Tell me what I need to know

No, I did not find that out by listening. Janne posted the lyrics

I hadn't listened to Euphoria until now ( yeah I know  ) and I am impressed! Awesome!

Broken Promises and Lucky Star (feat. Marko) have been my faves to date and Euphoria is bumping itself right on up there!

Thanks guys! :D

I love Phoenix Effect. Magic and Lucky Star are my personal favourites. I haven't heard Euphoria yet - I'll probably wait for the album to come out :)

After hours of listening I must say that A Light to Guide is a pretty romantic and impressive song. I guess my first opinion was so skeptical because of Twilight Theater release which made me unable to perceive any other music. Now this condition has gone, and my mind isn’t blurred by the masterpieces of our favourite guys. The new Phoenix Effect album seems to be much more touching and exciting than the first one. I really like how A Light to Guide, Babylon and Euphoria sound. Strong compositions, good vocals. Nice work, guys!

A Perfectly Good Day is my favourite song from them, King See No Evil and Lucky Star are also good songs.

This a very good album :) Took a few times of listening to get into, but SCI & Euphoria are indeed marvellous songs.

The new album is great! Love their music. And I think Janne's singing is getting better and better.
"All 4 nothing 4 all" rocks, and I've fallen in love with "Killing the Afterglow".
At the end I was expecting a very calm slow song like Magic, so when "Stand Your Ground" started my first reaction was  and my second reaction was :D Nice ending.

I was wondering one thing: on the booklet it says songs were written by Phoenix Effect & Marko Saaresto... are all lyrics by Marko or were some songs written by someone of PHNX?

Yep, they have been quite busy lately and updating the website hasn't been their top priority... hopefully they get the info up to date soon. :)
