Sometimes that's true but other times, well... did never something happened to you, that you don't think you deserved it, and you didn't do nothing that took you to it?

Well i created this topic when i was indeed very sad with all that happened to me, and honestly after i read some of the posts here i started to feel like an idiot as my problems were nothing compared with losing a related or a friend.

I don't post in this topic for 2 years, but now i must say i don't feel unlucky anymore, i got someone in my life which makes me want to fly, now im good, but i predict this won't last forever, im afraid life itself will try to end my happiness, next year ill be in college, i'll be 18, many things will change.... but her... i don't Her to change i wanna be with her, it'll be difficult but i must keep the hope we'll get through. After all we must live for today, and not suffer with the possiblity of tomorrow :)

I just re-read what I wrote in this thread two years ago and I must say that , in the light of everything that happened this year, I do consider myself very lucky in teh sense of being in the right place at the right time. I am also lucky because I have great friends. <3

I will have to find out soon. My company is going to raffle tickets to away matches of our football team playing in the new season of UEFA Champions League. I am far from being a football fan but I am a die-hard fan of travelling on a freebie. :D

I've won cd's (signed or unsigned) and show tickets and other things quite a few times. So if it comes to winning things, yeah I'm pretty lucky, so lucky that it almost scares me. The things I win are small though, but still nice enough to make me happy :)

As well I've already met 4 bands I really like, and interviewed 2 of my most favourite bands, so I could ask whatever I wanted. So yes, that's lucky even when I arranged most of it myself :D

But when it comes to real life, I don't think I'm that lucky. Real life is not some kind of lottery, it's what you make of it.

That's a pretty lame excuse considering that the official POTF shop as well as www.recordshopx.com send CDs worldwide and you can buy the albums from iTunes as well.

(sorry for the off-topic)

So your parents prefer you to illegally download music from the internet instead of legally buying it? :o That's uhm, interesting. :?

We don't see it as much illegal round here xD it's like... if you can avoid spending some bucks the better xD we're in crysis, it's true it's better to get what you can from the net illegaly, instead of paying for it.
Though i still like to pay contribute to my facourite bands and buy their cd's in the stores, or in case of the movies the one's i think are really worth i'll go see them in theaters or else... Pirate Bay 8).

And there is also another thing... to buy from the web i would have to have more work to create a pay pall account or a credit card which neither me or my parents have, and since we can't pay with a debit card... why having all that trouble cause of an album? I myself prefer downloading it and closing the deal right there. though poets we're worth that work, i'll soon have to start buying from the web as I am growing guitarrist needing gear that you'll only get from music store and that.

Well since you are not willing to pay for their work, you should really not complain that they are not coming to play in your country and paying their money to do so. If they don't earn anything, they don't have any money to spend on tours. Just my .02

I guess you didn't read all the way down, because i said POTF are worth the work to pay thrugh the internet, i just can't, and if they sold they're stuff here i would fucking buy it all!!!!

And one way or another i will always complain they won't come play in Portugal until they do it. And i know the reason(s) why they can´t no need to remeber it.

Sorry bout that, it has nothing to do with the topic, let's get back to it.

I did read all the way down.
There's always a way: Find someone who has a credit card and ask them to buy for you, then give them the money for example.

Anyway, back to topic...
I think the person who is constantly lucky would not consider him- or herself such, because he or she would not know the difference. so maybe we ourselves cannot even say if we are lucky or not. All depends on how you look at it.

OT: I changed my idea. I'm as unlucky as Paul Gray!!

Sorry for interrupting:

@gabiruman

Wow!! the situation is just like Iran but with a small difference. In Iran you can't buy anything from another country through the web. Because nothing comes from outside if you buy something. Even if all the parents in the world allow their children to buy something through the web, you can't. Damn politics... I'm so ashamed, but all I can is the illegal way... :( :?

I don't believe in luck as a predetermined force that finds favors with some rather than others. Though I do believe some people have better timing than others, or when in the right mood can work the system.

I have horrible timing, I'm clumsy, tactless, but when I'm around others I seem to be lucky for them. It's strange that I seem to provide luck for others but cant really obtain any myself. I guess my mood is wrong.

Lucky to be alive for sure. Not sure for the rest. Just hoping that the fate will finally smile on my street.

 :P is this your bad luck?...
My mother dead when i was only 7--->what will you name it? :(

That is really sad to hear, my dad was an alcoholist and my mother had too much often to defend herself...many times I wished I was orphan....But you know something? Until we can pass by the bad situations and get the best that life has to give we are all lucky, I voted myself as unlucky, but looking carefully I am alive, healthy, I have freedom, I have a home, clothes to cover myself, food and love.
Good and bad come and go, and I can say that in this life it could have gone way worse to me, it is mostly a question of attitude, if you look at the world with a smile the world smiles back at you.

A lot of people told me that I'm a lucky person. At first, I really couldn't see how, but in time I realized what they meant.

Overall, I was more sad and disappointed than truly happy.
There is a band in my country, named Block Out, whose lyrics can match those of Poets; one of the stanza says (translated): "Is it what we are, or what we must? A second of happiness, then a minute of pain, and then all over again". I'm sure you can see what I mean.

In time I noticed that the pattern of my actions, chaotic as it may seem, is paved with good outcomes - though mostly for others than for me. I'm quite talented to make a mess of things, but the final stage is always fortunate. I hate to be the one who always initiates the "turning of the Wheel", but somehow it comes naturally to me. So while spontaneously helping others to reach their happiness, I never really get to mine. It's like I'm standing in place. This kind of "luck" only adds another layer of frown on my face, already distorted by fake smiles.

In the end, all I want is peace and balance. That is the only true luck for me, yet it always passes me by, no matter how I try. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? :?

What do you consider as luck? If you know the answer, you'll know for sure if you're lucky or not.

Right now, in the light of what has happened in the lask week or so, I couldn't have written it better myself. I am so lucky in my friends that I don't really care about any other kind of luck (well, ok, health and family are very important...), even though I had some "material" luck just now too.

Makes me wonder sometimes.
To be honest, I don't believe in 'luck' to start with.
But to answer your question, I don't think I am.

I think I'm a lucky person because even when some times bad things or unlucky things happen, all those things happen for a razon and and I always learn something new about it....that's my good luck! :)
