Hi guys!!!! I woke up this morning and found this tweet on POTF page:

RT @ViperImmortal @PoetsOfTheFall There is TWO NEW SONGS in Alan Wake? You're... You're all Two-Legs Suprises, guys! :-D

So i surfed the internet and did find out..... SPOILER.....

that there are these two songs during the game, called "The Poet and the Muse" and "Children of the Night", credited in the end of the game as by "Old Gods of Asgard"........... but they are actually from POTF, so OGOA is just a fictional name...
This is AMAZING!!! WOOOW (hoping I understood right)

It's "Children of the Elder God". :)

And just a reminder: these songs are copyrighted material, and this time there's even more parties involved than just POTF (namely Remedy and Microsoft). Plus the game is not even released yet, and the songs contain possible spoilers related to the game's story. Do not post any links to the songs. Thanks!

If you are not a reviewer, you are not supposed to have Alan Wake yet, which means you are not supposed to have heard the songs yet, which means... ah well. Let's pretend you are just guessing the songs are great, OK?

The songs (which I haven't heard yet) sound very good! Children of the Elder Gods reminds me of Psychosis/DMWM kind of song. :)

Remember that these are not POTF songs per se - Old Gods of Asgard is a totally different band living in the Alan Wake universe, and they have their own history and style. :)

Wow! Didn't expect these! I love the old folk-tune feel The Poet and the Muse has. Amazing! Children of the Elder God is equally wonderful. If I had an xbox, I'd definitely go out and buy Alan Wake just to hear these songs. ^_^

But I’m still wondering why in Alan Wake are OGoA... I mean, why it isn't the same situation like in Max Payne 2, where Poets were playing... :?:

Are OGoA the same people as POTF, or just Marko does guest vocals?

The only thing i got is that their singer does know his job really well,You'd get to know that by listening to 'Children of the Elder God'

POTF and OGOA are used in two different ways in the game.

OGOA is a fictional band created for Alan Wake. You can even see some members of the band in the game, they are old guys and were big back in the 70's (like you can hear from their songs). The two songs have a strong connection to the story of Alan Wake. War is of course in the game as a POTF song, but that song exists on a different level than the OGOA songs. War plays on the game soundtrack, while the OGOA songs exist in the game universe.

And like I said, it all makes a lot more sense when you play the game :)

It's 100% POTF guys. If you can't tell that from the songs themselves, I guess the guys are just happy they could make the songs sound that different from POTF. :)

It's a sad fact to know that AW leaked into torrents before the release but those two songs made my day  Awww.... I knew there'd be something like this in the game. I hoped so since I'm a fan of Gothic ^^ Yep, dreams come true. I hope I'll get my cope of AW as soon as possible, 'cos it's a matter of honour for me not to download it.

There's only one version of it, you probably mean the end of the song where the full band starts playing. No-one knows at the moment if we'll hear more songs from them... it's up to Remedy & POTF, I guess. :)

EDIT: Problem solved - the other "version" was mono with the right audio channel completely missing.

I thought about it earlier, but I said „no way”. Is it one member of OGOA? (in 1:49 min, he says "Everyone calm down")
