To me, love is surprising. I always get amazed how I got to be with my present partner and how we managed to get along more or less fine till now. Five years and counting and I guess that is and will be the biggest wonder of my life, how someone actually chose to live with me. Don't think I'll ever be able to express how grateful and special it makes me feel.

Love is what keeps me with my friends and siblings whatever they do. No matter what.
Love is when my partner makes me coffee in the morning.
Love is when I make my partner's music louder and listen to it/about it the whole evening, even though we don't share the taste. Love is when I plan how we'll go to my partner's favourite band's concert.
Love is when my partner forgives my forgetfulness and my I-will-do-it-myself attitude and sometimes helps me when I don't ask for it.
Love is running kilometers to see your best friend for 15 minutes because she called you in tears.
Love is when you calmly reassure you slightly paranoid friends milion times a day about some really weird stuff.
Love is in all those little things that make the world...

OK, I shut up. I already sound like a soppy idiot.
In day to day life I am not very romantic, I guess. If you ever asked my partner you'd hear I am actually as far from being romantic as one can get.

Nah, I don't have interesting stories.. I only meant that for sure I haven't done 'heroic things' for love, nothing 'big' (neither good nor evil).
At most I might have done a bunch of little stupid things that made me feel like such an idiot after.

I don't think we Finns are very romantic people. At least I'm not and I hear about it every now and then from my girlfriend. *laugh*

But I think the chorus of Lift kinda sums up what I think about it. When you can give your love to someone and receive it back... It feels like nothing's impossible (hey, that's from Roses!) and you could touch the sky.

It's a feeling which makes you warm even in the coldest winter nights.

I just thought of this now!!

When I was small my father gave me a book (well he is a writer so he gave me many books ) called Love Is. I have not idea where I put it! Suddenly I am really upset! This book meant so much to me and I am so very very sad . I can try to find it but I don't know where to look. I have bookshelves but they are mostly filled with novels I have read more recently and I remember putting my little special book somewhere.......but where? Oh really I am so very sad!

Love is keeping things that special people give to you and you always know where they are.

Love is something we cannot control, instead we should let it take us where it wants

Love is a little part of yourself you give to someone else and hope they will nurture it and cherish it and requite it......when it is not treated like that then love dies and you can only hope to get maybe that little part of yourself back even if it is tarnished so you can polish it again and maybe give it to someone else who will cherish it and requite it.

I would say its a kind of brain malfunction. Which interrupts your normal day to day work.

I don't take credit for this. I was looking for this book, Love Is, that my father gave to me on Christmas when I was young. I still read it sometimes to remind myself I will always have my father's love.

On good days, I think love is the most wonderful gift anyone can give or receive.
