They were all over the place in the "free snacks and CD's lounge", outside the gig venue. You would have also met a couple of bands there... ;)

I love them!

I bought their album on iTunes a few days ago and I just can't stop listening to it.

By the way, thanks for the pictures!

for all the lucky people who will be at some POTF gig in April: you're double lucky, cause you get to see Phoenix Effect too (PHNX tour dates)

I still dream of seeing at least one of these two bands.. someday... ç_ç

Sorry for the double posting, but is there any information of their upcoming album? There's no preordering, no updates, nothing but some songs mentioned in the blog. I guess it won't be officially out before their support gigs.

Damn, this guys are way too good to be left as underrated band, but maybe the sales does not agree with this? Both cases - it's a shame...

Their album does not have a release date yet, but in any case, it will not be released for at least a couple of months. However, the first single from the second album will be out very soon!

I like it - a lot.
Very different from anything on Cyanide Skies, but great nonetheless.

I love Phoenix Effect!! I only found out about them today, but wow!! they are good.

and the funny thing is that a friend of mine from Finland (I'm from Holland btw) had never heard of them before, but after she saw me talking about it on twitter she decided to listen to it.. and.... she now totally loves it and wants to buy their cd :P

this news was totally unexpected
and also the style of the song is unexpected, but I like it! well done guys!
is it Lauri doing the back vocals?

I'm happily suprised that I liked it, because I had some hesitation at listening to the song, since these days I'm so taken with TT that I'm unable to listen to anything else.

This makes three of my alltime fave bands releasing new music these days.. it's dizzy, seriously.

Same sentiments here. I was like "great, new music, but did it have to be now that I already have one awesome new album to listen to all day?" It speaks for the song that I still like it. Very good stuff.

Yep, it wasn't great idea to release it at the same time with TT but the song is amazing. I'm in love ^_^

The cover really reminds me of this: (what does it say, btw)

The new song sounds a lot like Foreigner, especially Janne's voice. Great stuff indeed!

I tried to write down the lyrics, and here's what I got:)

A Light To Guide
I know you're strong,
yet I can see your frailty
and it's tearing at me.
I may be wrong,
but there's nothing wrong with how I feel
like your love has blessed me.

Shadows falling, soft and slow
I hear you calling from the cold

I'll leave a candle burning in my window for my love
a light to guide you on your way home,
a light to keep you safe, my love.

You say you're alright
but the rain it comes down harder
and I see no shelter
deep in the night
when the darkness closes over
where ???

I will promise, my life wil show
Hold on to me, I won't let go.

I'm leaving a candle burning in my window for my love
a light to guide you on your way home
I'll leave a candle burning in the shadow, so you know
I will keep you safe, my love.

Surely as the morn will come again
I know you will find what you're searching
I know you will find what you're searching

Let your weakness make you strong,
??? that drive you home
Let my... ???

I'll leave a candle burning in my window for my love
a light to guide you on your way home
I'll leave a candle burning in the shadow, so you know
I will keep you safe, my love.

I tried, but this is all I managed for now. You did a great job Lisa! :)

where ? a traitor (???)

I wasn't sure about where.. it might be when, or well..
While the line after remains a mystery to me.. I hear something sounding like abuse.. or trader.. dunno :?

I hear abuse too and I think it's traitor, but somehow the combination of those two does not make sense to me
