Do you guys think this is a reference to Roses, or I'm just a little imaginative? :P

And I think the fact it is in the booth quite fits it... you know
"So when I'm crying alone
Yeah, when I'm cold as a dying stone

Grow me a garden of roses..."

I think it's more likely a coincidence, but good eye!!!
I also think that many of the same themes run throughout Mark's lyrics, which is why I love them so much...and the FT is certainly crying alone. I basically think Stobe is a friggin' genius!!!!!! 8)

I heard that right here! It's in one of these older topics somewhere...I'll try to find it unless someone's faster. :P :?

* Carnival of Rust is the name of the place where action's taking place.

* Singer Mark is closed in a booth which has fragments of "Gravity"'s lyrics printed on it.

* Ticket printed at the end of the video says "Cor Cordis". In Latin, both of these words mean "heart". There's also a small "4" printed on the bottom of the ticket, which is probably a reference to another album's track, "All The Way / 4U".
Source: Wikipedia Trivia section, which oddly, was removed since according to the user it had "nothing to incorperate into the article.".

And also, you can consider "Sorry Go 'Round" is there (the merry go 'round), and "Dawn". If you look, you'll se some rays of light already in the horizon during some scenes, instead of pitch-black night.

These two are quite literal, so there may something else to them.

Well, we're still missing LutS, King of Fools, Desire and MTIaBD.
I think these might come to be very subjective to find a meaning, though...

Excellent analysis, Vitor! KOF could be the FT; MTIaBD is certainly what the girl hopes, otherwise why Break for Freedom? Desire permeates the entire video, but I don't identify objects related to them...BUT WAIT!!! I just remembered!!! One of the rides actually says "GRAVITY!!!!!" 8) Damn, I'm good! :D I'm going back to check and I will confirm.

(Stobe mentioned death in a recent interview about COR in Creative Cow and that made me re-think about it. I know this interpretation lacks and ignores explanations to a lot of aspects in the video so take it as a random thought.)

What if the masked girl is Death. She seeks Destiny's (the Fortune teller) advice on who is ment to be the next one to leave life, the carnival, and go home. Destiny is obviously sick of this happening again and scolds her (“n' taste the blame if the flavor should remind you of greed”) and tries to talk her out of it. Destiny is too ambiguous to give her the answer she seeks.

Death then turns to the much more co-operative Luck to gamble for a soul, the doll. If Death isn’t getting her way by premeditation then by randomness. Scolding continues as bitter remarks from the Destiny. By my reasoning, Death is feeding the rain that pours from the skies of lust …, people yearn for life among other things, they lust after it.

Death beats the odds and wins the doll, a soul, who has very little say in the hands of greater powers. While taking the doll beyond the gates of life to the unknown she has second thoughts this time about her actions. It is all too late though.

Entire thing is sort of a glimpse of the forever reoccurring power struggle between death, destiny and luck.

A very intriguing symbolic interpretation, Dandelion! It sounds like a fascinating approach that could even be taken further. I'd be curious to see how DP's tarot reading would fit with your analysis.

I'd also be curious to see what Stobe said in that interview that sparked your intellectual analysis!. I have been running across references to Creative Cow a lot recently and I never heard of it before about two weeks ago.

I'm glad you found this old forum, Dandelion! Good to have you aboard! :)

By the way, when the ticket comes out of the machine Marko was in, the words Cor Cordis actually means some sort of heart attack.
Cor, also referencing to Carnival of Rust, means the heart has stopped.
Marko inside the machine dies. The CoR has closed. The love is gone.

I think it is a bit more brighter (and blured) than the original (if original was gray, this one is silver)

I got a small question: I would like to download that videoclip in 720p HD using "KeepHD Downloader". But It's not available for download in 720p, only in MP4 High Quality. Anyone knows why? I'd like to transfer this clip to my PS3 and watch it in 720p.

Don't post instructions :) It's just that I can download other vids from youtube in 720p, with this one I can't... It's not that I can't download it, it's just that I can't have it in 720p. If I couldn't be able to download it at all, I would knew it was copyrighted :) I'll wait for an answer from admin.

I said this too...

The video is amazing. Thank you Poets of the Fall, Elmeri Raitanen, Stobe Harju, Nitro FX, for contributing to this wonderful video, and creating this perfect song.

I just got notified of activity on this thread after almost a year, and today there is a flurry of messages. COR video released in HD, huh? I have to check it out even though I don't have an HD screen. I show my students this video every time I teach Romeo and Juliet and they go wild. I have created a few fans! I will be back after I investigate further.

When I first see "Cor Cordis", I associated with CoR (like Carnival of Rust)... But this heart of heart picture is so epic... I love it!
Anyho' the remastered HD version is just... wonderful!
