Why? I don't think so. because I think our skin is more valuable than a draw board.

I'm thinking of having a knife tattooed on the back of my arm, with the hilt tattooed before the wrist and the blade crossing though the wrist and reaching to the back of my hand. Since I like wearing gloves, the edge of the knife would be concealed by the glove...

Sounds pretty cool, right? Haha!

I'd like to see your opinion though :P

It would be some kind of an assasin's knife. Double-edged... Black, straight hilt... pretty kewl IMO :P

This is my one year old tattoo. Its small and weird, but I love it.
It says "and the road goes ever on" which I took from LotR. It has a special meaning to me, in more than one way actually.

Oh, and my bf got tattooed today. Its so awesome!

This has been done on my left calf about 2 Months ago.
It's the Bandlogo from Lord of the Lost.
and it should also remind me of the good times of the last 2 years with these guys and another band from Hamburg. And all the people around it.

Actually the Tattoo Artist who has done that is also the Rhythmguitarist of this band. ;D

I think I'll get some more..some day...

I once had a temporary David Hasselhoff tattoo from the BRAVO magazine. It was washed away when I had a shower the next day. :|

Not yet. *wink*
To be honest, I've wanted a tattoo ever since I knew they existed and that was a long long time ago.
And my mind is just overflowing with ideas...

But one tattoo is certain: a Japanese character (kanji) meaning "mother" to show others how much I love and appreciate my mom.

Don't like tattoos. Actually, I dislike them a lot. And I also do not understand why people ain't satisfied with what the nature gave them, so they are so desperate to change it...

I’d like to have a tattoo with a cat. They are always in my life, I love them and I have a lot of commons with cats like my surname, my zodiac sign and many others

A cat tattoo is a must for me, too. I've been thinking to get the pawprints of my three cats somewhere since they all have different paw pads on the same side front paw.
But what I'd really like to get is a realistic portrait of my first own cat Vilsu. She made me realize how much I actually adored those creatures. Here's Vilsu. <3 I'm just hesitant to take it since I really want it to look like her and not just some random tabby cat so I want to take my time to find a good tattoo artist who can make good portrait tats.

Sweet cat Tossu-sama :)
I also thought about a portraits of my cats, but it could be big and I don’t want a big tattoo, so rather I’ll choose something different. I don’t know what yet.

Yeah, it's hard to find someone who really has a talent.

@ Mahoniara:
My home city has three real tattoo studios. I don't even consider one as a tattoo studio since it works in a barber... Not a thing to stir up my trust.
And one of the real ones is going around with bad reputation. The remaining two are good from what I've heard, I've taken piercings in those places before (reminds of planning the next piercing...).

It's just awfully expensive to get a tattoo. The base price is always 60€...

well, since it's something you do once and for all (I mean.. you can have more tatooes, but each one is to be done once and to last a long long time), then 60€ is not that much, is it?
and looking for the cheapest one might not be the best for a tatoo...

You're right, 60€ isn't really that much for a great piece of art on your body but the prize goes up with the size and complexcity and being a poor student I don't think I can afford one in the near future.

Sometimes the real tattoo studios have worse artists than in others. But in real studios, realization is for sure more healthier, safer and you have a certainty that tattoo will be durable.
You just need to search. My sister has a beautiful tattoo from real studio so I know where I may go in the future :P

I have two. I could only find a picture of one of them (the newest one). Since I found a picture of it, I won't bother explaining it. You can see it yourself. :p

The other tattoo I have is of a Wizard conjuring magic on my upper right arm.
