When I was younger, I decided that three songs describe my life, and two of them were by PotF: Seek You Out and King of Fools.

"So I'll seek you out, just to find myself
And I'll worry 'bout consequences later"
Because there is a person who lives in another world whom I'd like to find, and I will wait and try to find him even though my friends say that I'll die alone if I keep waiting. Whatever. I promised myself.

"Cos what I feel is the only truth I know
And I get by on this naivete of youth
If what I feel is the only truth
And what I give out will make up what I'll receive
Can I leave behind my naivete of youth?
Will I be crucified for wanting to believe?
I believe"
This part has something to do with the previous one, but I'm also admitting that I'm pretty naive ein my ways of thinking.

Those were the parts that I thought about then, but now that I've listened to those songs over and over again, I realize that those songs quite well describe me as a person, as well.

I am dead interested in finding out the 3rd song that describe(d) your life!

And I sincerely hope that you will eventually find him, if you haven't already...

As for me. I guess that CoR really tells the way I feel... Which is actually sad really... I wish I could choose another song :(

I think most people can at one or another time recognize themselves in that song, Amaranthos. And it's not really as much sad as you make it. CoR is masterpiece! That makes you masterpiece! Hahaha

^ yes, it's a masterpiece.
Even though it's sad, it's so beautiful that you feel the beauty of it, not the sadness.
(I swear this thing I wrote was supposed to make more sense, but I wasn't able to translate it any better)

It DID make sence, Lisa :)

And yes, it is trully a masterpiece... I think that the way you "recognize yourself" depends on how you feel at the exact time of the inquiry. If my life until now had been a liiil' bit better... well, I'd choose something else :P

Oh c'mon, it's supposed to be a sad song!! The video-clip can't get more "gothic"/sad, even if it wanted to BUT that does not eliminate the fact that it remains a masterpiece, whatever I and/or anyone else says :P

While I find it hard to find a song which is incredibly "me" (though Illusion & Dream echoes my own thoughts really well), both 3AM and Someone Special mean a lot to me. I went through a relationship last year which 3AM described perfectly (which wasn't the happiest of experiences, but the song helped me get through it), and Someone Special is a song I share with someone now close to me.

Well, according to my local time, it is now 3:48 in the morning and you posted at 3:12 :P Yeah you could say 3 AM :P

Cherish every moment you spend with the one close to you, for they are unique ;)

The end was this:

then i fell asleep :D

This is a bit off-topic, but since *Amaranthus* asked:
Quote:
I am dead interested in finding out the 3rd song that describe(d) your life!

The third song was(/is?) Welcome to my Truth by Anastacia.

what song or songs describe me?

"And I see that it makes me anti everything"

"behold the demons that I freed"

So that would be "Pyschosis" and "Roses".. :)

Illusion and Dream.
Sometimes I forget that "The images they sell are illusion and dream. In other words, dishonesty."

But that doesn't stop me from still trying to diet like crazy to be a sexier bride. ;)

Hmm..that's a tough decision, because I find myself in all the songs every now and than.
Depends on the mood or a situation.

But I would say it's "Maybe tomorrow is a better day" and "Illusion & Dream"

"I could pray and trick with a double tongue, but the only fool here's me
I choose the way to go, but the road won't set me free
Cos I wish you'd see me, baby, save me, I'm going crazy
Tryin' to keep us real, keep us alive.."

Hmmm...at the moment I would say Gravity

Here at the station, standing in the rain, lost in my train of thought
Looking around for a better time again, but yesterday ain't running on this track

....Typical of me, that I concentrate on the destination so much that I miss the journey there and back

1. From 'Signs of Life' ; Illusion & Dream_

So can you name your demon?
Understand its scheming
I raise my glass and say "here's to you"
Can you chase your demon?
Or will it take your freedom?
I raise my class and say "here's to you"

Hard to understand, the true meaning of this lyrics ; yeah, it's just as a 'poem' .
But I don't know why - I just like it. no, I'm dying about that part_

---

2. From 'Carnival of Rust' ; Carnival of Rust - Of course!

It's all a game, avoiding failure, when true colors will bleed
All in the name of misbehavior and the things we don't need

I especially love this part of that song, rhythm and lyrics - everything. True Colors. at first I had thought meaning of that was '32 bit colors' of display systems ; but it was not. yup, game. life is just a game. everyone likely to avoid failure to keep their presents safe - and the true colors of human ethics started to bleed_

---

3. From 'Revolution Roulette' ; Diamonds for Tears_

I guess that's why it's raining diamonds, sweet happiness in tears
Crying heaven shed your diamonds, diamonds for tears

Maybe this will be my self-centered insistence, PoTF's Lyrics' were always abstract, emotional, and sometimes ironic. but hey, that's the reason why I'm so dying about their songs. Poets. Of course. Obviously they're the 'Poets' ; so lovely meanings inside_

----------

Scars of the divine wings
The broken face of the Marionette
Crimson tears, running between the distresses
A grotesque dissonance of an angel singing death
And the human who, dancing underneath the skies of insanity_

the reply from a newbie fan of PoTF, who came from South Korea - Hello guys! :D

I believe it's Maybe Tomorrow Is A Better Day; last year was very difficult to me, so I couldn't stop listening to that song... the lyrics are really awesome, and they touched my heart...

Thank POTF for writing it..

:)

For me it's "Miss Impossible"
