no, it's not like you have to talk yourself down, just post stupid things you did :P

I have a small hard drive, it's about 8x12x1 cm, covered in rubber, and I keep it in a wallet. I am not very carefull with it.. like tonight.. I threw it in the air, thinking 'oh if it falls, it doesn't matter anyway, it's covered in rubber and in a wallet'

but I forgot that it could fall ONTO something
like a laptop
which I justopened

it fell right on the keyboard, knocking the L and P keys off :S
I've tried, and I can put em back on, but they won't stay :S
I need glue. or duct tape!

:D :D :D
This was some time last year:

I often eat while I'm at the computer (yeah, I know I shouldn't) so naturally my keyboard collects crumbs. Thus, I decided to get the crumbs out of my notebook keyboard, I'd be smart and use the vacuum cleaner. Well, with the crumbs I also vacuumed the Ä. I started laughing when I realized that. Dug it out of the vacuum, but it would not stay attached to the ykeyboard. Had to buy a new Ä. :D

since we're about keyboard-accidents...
some months ago I was sewing while I was at the computer, and at the end the needle fell somewhere on the keyboard. I tried to grab it, but it went instead between the vertical lines "1 4 7" and "2 5 8" in the numeric keypad. And slipped underneath the keys.
Since then, it's still blocked there in the keyboard, under the numpad :P

This is perfect for here.

My story: I decided to reinstall both my Windows and Ubuntu on my EEE. I'm painfully experienced with that and was keeping my private data on a separate partition, so everything should be OK, no need for backup. Of course I'm always careful and decided to test first is the Ubuntu version working ok, cause it was the Netbook Remix distro from Canonical. I started it from my flash drive, didn't read the lines (standart Linux, what the hell) and just pressed enter. Few seconds later I saw that the lines was saying: "Warning! This will destroy all your data! Press Enter to continue...". Before I had a time to react the little slim shady was formatted ALL my hard drive. I lost everything, including my school project.

Except for doing overall clumsy and stupid things, just today I was going to loosen a hose that connects to the air supply at work (for people to fill up their tires with). And of course I was in my own thoughts and didn't really pay attention to how my dad was instructing me to do it  The hose loosened completely with such a violent thrust thanks to the air pressure that I managed to find myself with a bleeding finger.

Fun things always happen at work  :D

Stef, hahahhaha you vacuumed the Ä  Ok, will stop laughing soon. :D :D

can't you just turn your keyboard upside down and shake untill it falls out?
or are your keys like, packed together?

still a smart idea to turn your keyboard upside down every once in a while; a LOT of mess can come out :|

I got a 1 for maths too, and I'm not German either... We can be idiots together xD
And I have this habit of saying totally stupid things... I went to a Italian restaurant with some friends a while ago, some girls and one guy. When we got the bill and we had put the money together, I told the guy to 'show that he was a man'. Everyone laughed really hard at that, even the people at the table next to ours (I might have talked a bit loudly, due to the wine I had been drinking..) and I felt really stupid

Yeah, that's the kind of moment when you look for the 'undo' button in Real Life.
A year or two ago I was exchanging a switch my old car. For some reason it did seem like a good idea to take that switch apart before installing it, to make the install easier. At that time I was sitting in the car with the driver's door open. When the little spring that had been inside the switch up to that point went flying out the door, I was looking for 'undo', seriously.
(I was lucky that I found the spring again and managed to reassemble the switch. Worked perfectly until I lost the car in a crash)

too much showing off going on there ;)
But seriously, when I saw the topic I was thinking "Do we really need this?" but then I read the first post and it's really just for fun. So far only people laughing at themselves.

I personally think it's important to be able to laugh at yourself ;)

I agree, but as soon as you can't say "oh my, that really is stupid" to someone without them getting offended, there's no fun left in it :P
Indeed, people should laugh more at themselves. I do it all the time

today I feel stupid because i've been ill-ish for 2 weeks
and now my holidays are over
and it's getting worse T.T
those two weeks I just had a cold, now I feel sick and I can't eat anything, dunno if it might come out again, but I just don't feel hungry at all. and I'm a bit feverish

This one is simple in its stupidity.
I wanted to hammer the nail, but had no hammer. So, I took something that could be used as one. Unlucky for me, it was quite heavy axe. Not thinking to much, I slammed the nail vertically. The axe springed back and him my knee. Unfortunately for me, I had shorts on myself. At the beginning it was like "It's OK, I feel fine", but when I noticed the V-shaped injury, I knew that I've made an idiot out of myself. :|

Last year in March Apocalyptica was in Turkey for a gig.And before the concert ,there had been a cd-signing in a music market near the concert hall .So i went cd-signing and guess what i did : I forgot to bring my cds with me so i had to buy all their albums in market again.Since I had spent all of my money for cds which i had had already, Icouldnt drink any bear at concert then i was the only sober one :D now i have two same cds (signed ones and unsigned ones ) of their each album. So im the biggest stupid fan of them :D

I once missed my bus twice, on one day, the first time to go to a nearby city with a friend to go shopping, and the second time when we wanted to go back. both times we saw the bus driving away.....

and janaina, you could sell the unsigned cd's :)
then you get money to buy more gig tickets ;)
