I guess it depends what type of music they play... I've never said sorry to any of my neighbours simply because they are intolerant towards the music I listen to. I admit I take it too far sometimes with all the pagan metal and death/black stuff, but hey, I do it very rarely.

Going on topic, I do sing. With music, without music, at school, at home, in the shower, in the bus, in the shop, everywhere. Some songs I can sing very well without music, I suck at others.
Oh, and 90% of the time I sing with my earphones on, simply love it. :D

Yes I can sing the song without the music...

The song that is sung comes out from my heart and does not require a music..it just requires a situation.....

Like All the way/4u for my crush...

I can play songs in my head sometimes.. that it feels like i'm actually hearing it :)
I love it
if I know the lyrics to a song I can mostly sing it without any backgroundmusic, I think..

I sang some songs to a baby girl when I had to babysit last weekend.. it actually calmed her :)

not exactly what other people do if they hear me sing.. I still wanna start a band though :D

There are quite a few songs I can sing by myself without music. I love music and if a song appeals to me, I learn it...

Also when my daughter was young, I would sing to her.. and she used to have "Disney Sing-a-long" videos..and I would watch them with her.. so yes, there are some disney songs I can sing without music... :D

I probably sing better without background music. I love singing, so people around me must have a hard time. At least I have a large variety of different songs memorized...

me too: because I'm unable to get the right notes, so with the background music you hear the dissonance. without the music you only get the ugly voice :P
and: I sing very often too

For me it's more like...Well, it's harder to get the notes right with headphones on(like some people previously said), and without them I feel slightly bothered if I miss some words... When you sing just by yourself you can alter the way the melody goes a bit, too, which makes it easier to sing.

If I know the lyrics to the song, I can sing it. Well, that depends on how well you need to be able to sing for it to count :P Nothing too high, nor too low, but if it fits my voice then I can keep to the rhythm pretty well.

One really good advice to everyone: When you have a cough and your throat hurts, don't try to sing any high power metal vocals :D I did so yesterday (Stratovarius in my headphones and windy weather  ) and now I regret it

I find singing while having soar throats or the like improving in my song-skills. Dunno if it says something about my (lack of) talent :|

I guess so. My favourite song is not that hard to sing, anyway :P. Plus, I think my voice is nice enough as to not destroy people's ears if the happen to hear me... But still, I don't like to be heard .

Bear in mind that, when using a mic, your voice isn't the same. When I first sang in front of an audience (musical competition at a party ^.^ ) I didn't recognize my own voice :P Still, I got 2nd place (Should have been 1st but it was rigged :P )

And since I posted, hell yeah I can sing to my favourite song(s)! But I am never as good as the actual singer... (Who could sing better than Ville Valo after all? :P )
