Janne Kärkkäinen, you´re back in music business, you´re ex-guitarist of Sunrise Ave. You´ve been thinking now a year, after getting fired, what you would like to do, so what is your decision?
Janne:At the fall I noticed that I´m like an ant, even if my anthill falled down I´m still building it up again. At the spring we noticed that we´ve done some great songs, why don´t we record them.
So you´ve done songs with guys from Poets of The Fall?
Janne: Mmmm.. yes.. Well let´s say that I came in to the kitchen with minced meat and potatoes and boys had chili and everything and together we cooked. Something like that.
You´r first single "Broken Promises" has been published. What do you say, what kind of music there is coming? Is this what it´s gonna be?
Janne: Yeah, the sound is something like that but this is little bit feisty on purpose. In theory songs are pretty different from each others.
I think that everyone is interested about what happened with Sunrise Avenue. Can you tell us on your own words what happened exactly?
Janne: Well... Let´s say that I still don´t have any clear information about it.. Our connection finnished then and and we haven´t been on touch ever since. It´s difficult to say what went wrong. Of course I have my own guesses. I don´t have anything concrete to say about it.
You don´t want to say any hypothesis?
Janne: No..
You are in court fighting about this. Why?
Janne: I think it´s all beacause of that we can´t deal with this like we should. So we have to do it by the hard way. Let´s see what happens.
What´s your feeling about all your past with SA? For example have you listened SA after getting fired?
Janne: No I haven´t. Maybe it tells everything.
What do you think, can you be friends again?
Janne: Well at the moment it seems to be impossible... But I´m looking to the future. I don´t want to think about it.
Is "Phoenix Effect" more Janne Kärkkäinen than Sunrise Avenue?
Janne: Of course.

Got me thinking about what we were saying in the previous page: about whether musicians' past can influence people opinion about their music...
It must be extremely annoying to answer questions like that. Unavoidable, but annoying... but I think it's not bad publicity: it only makes you wonder whether the interviewer is retarded: after all the previous answers, she keeps asking things like "will you be friends again?" or "will your album sound like SA?". makes you feel sorry for who has to answer...
Chances are: she really could think of nothing to ask, or was hoping for some "reaction".
yes, I know: in the end it's just their job... and that's how it works

^she just keep asking about SA. again and again and again. I think that Janne was really polite. He didn´t say anything bad about SA (you know) or didn´t started to tell any "dirty secrets" even though she tried to get something out of him.I think (and hope. It would be horrible to SA and to Janne. that would be bad publicity) Samu Haber was right when he said that he thinks that he won´t see any lamentation from Janne.

It´s sad. Janne and Samu were good friends, at least I´ve heard somethin like that. And then.. something goes wrong and now they can´t talk to each others or anything. They have to go to court. Samu isn´t ok with it and Janne is not eather. I hope that I don´t have to get through something like they got.

They were really great today in Tavastia, especially since it was their first live show. I enjoyed it a lot!
