Forgiveness is an awesome song! I would love to hear Poets of the Fall revive that song and do a new polished rendition. The lyrics are pretty tight.

And for the hundredth time. This is a completely other band than POTF. Besides I rather like the "unpolished" rendition

I got tired of repeating that long ago... maybe I should include this info in the blog.

I listened to Playground a lot while in Finland.
Right now A Different Light is my favorite. I love the mood in that one.

Edit: Does anyone of you have any idea what the line "Seven under nine (or "seven and a nine" as I hear) in the same game of chess" means? I have been googling for hours to see if these numbers had any significance in chess or if not what they mean in other cames, but have come up empty. Yet I cannot imagine that line does not mean anything.

Yet I cannot imagine that line does not mean anything.

I got two theories here:
The first one is that out of the sixteen pieces each player begins with, the 'singer' has only seven left and this opponent nine, possibly better ones. Just thinking because otherwise he'd say 'nine over seven', being more optimistic.
The second one is referring to the layout of the chessboard. The seven would then refer to the row number 7, the row where the pawns of the black player are standing. If you let the 'nine' be a 'knight' now (mis-hearing), it would refer to a knight being on a position in that row... which could be either a starting move if it was a black knight or a very bad position for black if it was a white one.

But that's just two guesses from an experienced beginner... at best

I have no clue about chess whatsoever...

I'm not sure whether I should be saying this, but some time ago while browsing on The Pirate Bay, I found a torrent claiming to be from the Poets (falsely, I presume). More importantly, it contained the whole Playground album. It has but a few seeds, but it's still there.

A huge one, with all the videos and everything, yes. But I think seeding is now very low, if any..

I believe the best shot to get the songs is to ask people who has somehow acquired them somewhere, the rest I will leave unsaid.

As I've been listening to Yore a lot lately, one comment on the lyrics.

In the last line of the fkirst verse I hear:
You wanted to be, you took my purity

So the entire verse would be:
Here I see
you have broken through me
And I'm laying
Scattered where I should not be
You wanted to be, you took my purity

Yeah, I heard it again, and you're right! He does sound like he is saying "You wanted to be".. You rock! :D

Though, I think he says "And I'm laying" instead of "And I'm waiting".. :?

Wow, me and Alev are having the hugest discussion on One More Dead Rat. I keep insisting the rat has deceased in the hall, she however claims it has died inside the hole, whichever hole I would not know. Which is correct? I vote for my choice

By the way, looking through these pages again and finding these lines:

Why should I laugh when you break and decay
Enjoy the pain under your ?

I would like to have a guess that the missing word should be frame? But I'm very uncertain, I could be wrong

I'm sure sure it is "hall", but I have not listened to this in while. Either that or the songtitle is wrong too (which could be)

I'll get back to you about frame when I have checked. ;)

Frame sounds correct to me. And also I think it's hall.
