I'll say again... If people stopped going to bad video game movies, they'd stop making them... :(

a joke is, that you can't say if it's bad until you see the movie itself.... many movies have surprised although their trailers were terrible (I still somehow hope this is that case too :? ), and others have failed even with hyper-mega-awesome trailers....

And we do not of course support piracy and illegal downloading of movies via internet, do we?

Well finally i can also say something on that matter.

First of all all you people blaming Fox and saying that Fox is so aweful and the worst thing that ever happens and that they just make shit movies...... i think that is your private opinion that can not really be based on any hard evidence. Honestly some people just make me wonder but anyway many people may disagree with the opinion that Titanic is shit or Fight Club just to name 2 of many awesome and most of all succesful movies released by Fox.

Second of all Hitman was amazing i was really positively surprised by that movie surely it is no second Taxi Driver or Leon the Profi but whoever expected something like that ..... well ....

Thirdly the Trailer is really intriguing and it does what great trailers do, it makes me want to see that movie.

And last but not least i think that some people complaining here about the movie being a supernatural thing should bother and play both games again and pay a bit attention to what is happening in there.
If those games are just a crime drama then you can call me Ludacriss!

Thanks and good day to all of you! :D

Sorry... I'm not complaining and I'm not blaming... There are many great movies... So I don't care about this one...
I just say what I see... and
Titanic... is zero for me... ZERO!
succesful movies = good movies... and that from when??????
Fox is just a company... that sometimes make craps. :)
Where is that Birdman in the game??? I think I played the same game as you... Did I?
This is what I think... I just talk about what I see...
:P :P :P

No... Succesful movies... means that many people like them. But good for me is what I like. The most important thing is the meaning in one movie, not that money type of success.(Again for me)If one movie is not succesful... that do not make it bad.Maybe it has bad advertisement or money limit... :P

Maybe it is the dream... or a Valkyr-inflicted hallucination. I mean, in the game people who took V started babbling about 'the flesh of fallen angels' and attacked you because of that, so why not?

Lupino was Italian? I knew Gognitti and Punchinello were... but Lupino? Didn't remember that.

Thanks for posting these, Sascha! I actually have to say they look quite promising, the posters and the "photoshopped" promo shot, they're almost like the comic strips from Max Payne. I'm officially going to see this movie :D

...and I knew this thingie posted above is not the official poster :|

First of all Constantine was a good movie, I watched it several times, especially if you seen the making of it on the Bonus DVD the puppetronics and props. But I would not like to see this MOVIE going into that direction, b'cos seen it all before...

Second, I did not say I hated it, its pretty cool how the Director going to create the atmosphere of Valkryie Drug of the Fallen Angels in the movie itself. How he's going to potray it...

Third, Jack Lupino is Italian a mob boss, what I meant was in the Trailer he doesn't look Italian more like South American that gut who played 'Prison Break'.

Sorry if I didn't not made my statement clearer and pardon for my English...I'm nor Englishman just a Malayman from the rural areas....

I read an interview made by Mila Kunis, she said Mark never played the game, only watching his assistant playing it on every chance he gets...But in this movie the plot is more complex and darker than the game, and PG-13 will be rated as not much blood is shown... She said there is a lot gun play choreographs in the movie...

:?

Yeah, I understood what you meant... I just made myself a little unclear, I'm afraid. I meant that I didn't remember Lupino being italian in the game, but then again, the last time I played the game must have been '02 or so...

Heh, I'm German, so I kinda know that problem ;)

Let's just hope the director had his fair share of playing the game... as well as the guy(s) who made the script...

Well, the most important thing imho is that Sam Lake was also involved in this project. IMDb says he is only responsible for writing the characters, but who knows, he might have something to say about other aspects of the movie as well. :)

I don't think that Sam Lake had anything to do with the movie except for providing the characters, we know from the video game.

I have to admit that I liked the trailer, it looked pretty neat, BUT the promo shot of Max and Mona is just sh*tty! Mila looks NOTHING like Mona, Mark is okay, but Mila looks like a goddamn wh*re.

I have high hopes for this movie. It looks intriguing and well directed from the trailer. But I reckon there are a couple of things wrong with it. Firstly, A hip young black rapper as JIM BRAVURA? He's meant to be a very stereotypical "old school" white detective (complete with moustache, which might I add Ludacris does not have.). Also, Mila Kunis doesn't really seem suited to the role of Mona. Other than that, this looks pretty good.

Finally - the teaser is now available in HD quality. It's also slightly different from the first version of the teaser. Go to yahoo to see it!

Seeing as I have only played ten minutes into the first game, I might not be entitled to comment, but... it really does deserve a lot better, doesn't it?

Even my ten minute tryout made me fall in love with the style of the game, and it could probably be a smashing movie... if it's done right :)

Films based on VGs nearly always suck. But look on the bright side--the name Uwe Boll has not been associated with this project.

The games were AWESOME, and 2 was WAY better than 1 (if not for 2, naturally, I wouldn't be typing this here now, b/c I never would have heard of POTF and gotten to talk to all of you neat people :) ) but I don't know if any of you know (you should) whether POTF have anything to do with the music??????????????

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread to know.

The brand new trailer is here - and they say it's "theatrical trailer" as opposed to previous "teaser trailer" so I guess it's even better! Downloading 720p version right now... :)

Interesting that they decided to play up that tiny blip in the original story...I'll go see it. I just hope it works.

Looks a bit better than the first one, I like the heliport :)
But still I'm afraid of the worst :?

Sorry to those who under any circumstances like it, but the "music" in trailer is awful :x

(and my embarassing photomontage actually fits  )

i saw the trailer of the movie........ and although the trailer is well directed and the technique is good...... but i still dont understand the part of those fallen angels......... maybe its the creative bent of the director's mind who wanted to portray payne's hallucinations bcoz of the painkillers and sedatives he took.......... mark is not really actin up to the mark!!!!! :P and what the hell is mona doin in the first film??????!!!!! if mona sax can be on the film, so should poets of the fall......

honestly, i dont have high hopes on the movie..... coz a lot of video game-turned-movie hav bin failures.... remember hitman and doom??? ;)

and one big turn off was that they have not used the game's theme track (that piano riff...) which actually had a solid impact on the game...... they shud have used that track............

Why shouldn't she be there? She was in the first game. (Remember the girl who gave Max the whiskey that knocked him out? And the one who disappeared from the elevator in the end? That was Mona)
Or did you mean the first trailer?
