Geez, this line IS pretty tricky. I keep hearing it "like my thug had a travel shoe"

I think he says "smooth" there but I'm not sure. :?

smooth makes sense

travel shoe? I have no clue what that is, but it just might exist. :D :D

EDIT:Alev, I think you are on to something: http://www.safariquip.co.uk/acatalog/Travel_Shoes.html :p

I tend to disagree. In the song 'Walk of Life' by the band Dire Straits, there is a line mentioning "my old walking shoes"... so why should travel shoes make less sense? Could be boots for a long journey. In this case it might mean that he isn't a man to settle down... is always wearing his travel shoes, always going... somewhere. Won't stop but for a short time, to rest, eat or sleep. Then it's back on the road again...

*realizes he's overanalyzing and stops*

EDIT: yeah, didn't see your edit, redbossfan

"like my doom for my/those frightful deeds" - not the troubled sheep.

And in I Tread The Same Ground I forgot to mention that I think it should be "I believe every sin is just", not "sickness" :)

Other than that all this looks great and I think I agree so far, I'll have to read it through when I'm not dead tired tho! :)

And! If the fish indeed are gilless, shouldn't it be "are we just gilless fish trying to breathe above the sea"? I think I just caught something here fellas!

Hey, I liked my "troubled sheep" ;) I knew that could not be true :D :D :D
"Breathe" makes a lot of sense and I was never sure about "flee"

Tonight, I will give it another try.

yeah, I finally figured out that last word in "Under curents"
It's "where currents shift

So it should be this:

Under Currents

Drown me in your river now
Wash me clean in waters below
Find me special in my own way
Like a child forever
Ever

Kiss this smile
Spit in life
Rest me up in sweet denial
Hunt down your
Precious immunity
If I’m a parasite
Then you’re a wicked corpse
Oh yeah

Drown me in your river now
Wash me clean in waters below
Find me special in my own way
Like a child forever
Ever

Trustin’ deep
Bleed my heart
Under skin
Where currents shift
Twistin’ me
My priorities
If this is paradise
Fine I bore me to death <- becca and Alev , is this "Fine I" or "Finally?"
Oh yeah

Drown me in your river now
Wash me clean in your waters below
Find me special in my own way
Like a child forever
Ever

Would I still wish
How I felt
Then wouldn’t fear be a useless word with no consequences
And if what I did
Was what you said
Then would I still be
I still be

Drown me in your river now
Wash me clean in waters below
Find me special in my own way
Like a child forever
Drown me in your river now
Wash me clean in waters below
Find me special in my own way

In "For sometime now" I now hear "you might just wanna hear" instead of "want a hint"
and "They give you presents it's their best decoy" instead of "pressure"
Still not sure about the first line, but "reaching out" makes more sense than "freaking" I think

About "Whisper". The "frightful deed" is in the first verse is it not?
I hear one of Marko's mighty S in the sencon verse, but I am sure it is not "sheep" - could be "shoe" as Alev says. I'm confused :D Anyone?

you already said that you are hearing "Finally", that's why I added the question in the first place. :) However, I cannot hear that. I hear two words. So I thought I ask the other two because I am not objective anymore ;)

Wow, thank you everyone!

Sorry for any typing mistakes, I'm thinking to do another blog and correct everything, this is just a working thingy. :)

Give me tomorrow to fix the lyrics and put them up, along with your names and so on, and so forth and maybe next week the Playground lyrics blog will be normally running...

You think? :? Because I would say it's "Fine I".

I think it's "freaking", because I don't hear a "ch" sound there for it to be "reaching".

Now that you've mentioned it, it does sound like "frightful", I hear an f sound there.

Interesting to say the least.
Also I'm getting more confused by the minute, but I promise I'll give it another try tonight.

Did I mention that "smooth" sounds right to me in "Whisper"?

May I add a Bulgarian in the list too? :P :D

Take all the time you need, I'll be needing at least a day to fix the lyrics and everything and then redo the blog. :)

Finally seems way too long to fit in there. :P

I'll ask Marko if I ever get the chance to talk to him again ;)

You are right, it's not presents, but I'm not sure it's pressure either. It sounds like an "s" in the end. Precious maybe?

I thought it was "precious." I'm pretty sure it is: Precious means special, important, treasured, which works in the context of the sentance: offering something shiney to take your mind off the fact that they're running your life.

yep, I thought it made sense too :)

Here is Forgiveness

No more light than what the day gives
So if I have to see, then please don’t hide
I’m not trying to pry open the door to your privacy
Just trying to find out where I stand
Something’s moving at the edge of my vision
Flickering out like a dream gone bad
Going through my memory for something a bit more tangible, yeah
to get me down where it counts

I have come here for forgiveness
Are you my Jesus now
Will you be crucified
I’ve come here for forgetfulness
Play my, play my, play my saviour
Take my cross to bear
(For) the worries I had my share

There’s so many places I still have to go
With so many things here left undone
And the deadlines are looming up ahead while we are down
here where you are
just like we didn’t have enough going around

I’ve come here for forgiveness
Are you my Jesus now
Will you be crucified
I’ve come here for forgetfulness
Play my saviour
Please, take my cross to bear

You check the score
Do you have all the facts down
How do you lie ?
It doesn’t matter anyway
Noone’s gonna end it
Something like a story
Is coming in handy
I’ll let you play,
I’ll let you play your game

I’ve come here for forgiveness
Are you my Jesus now
Will you be crucified?
I’ve come here for forgiveness
So what do you do, what do you do, what do you do
What’s your excuse

I’ve come here for forgiveness
Be my Jesus now
Will you be crucified?
I’ve come here for forgetfulness
Play my saviour
Please, take my cross to bare

No more light than what the day gives
So if I have to see, then please don’t hide
I’m not trying to pry open the thoughts of your secrecy
Just trying to find out where I stand

Something’s moving at the edge of recognition
Flickering out like a flat dream
Going through my memory for something more tangible
to get it down where it counts

I have come here for forgiveness
You’re my Jesus now
Will you be crucified?
I’ve come here for forgetfulness
Be my, play my, Be my saviour
Take my cross to bear
(For) the worries I had my share

I hear waging war as well!

In the chorus, I hear "Forgiveness" twice, not "forgetfulness"... just different twistings of the word?

"Waging war" makes sense

"how do you lie whenever you can think about it" makes sense as well

I'm quite (but not completely) sure he does not sing forgiveness the second time, at just seems wrong, tht he sings "forgiveness" and then the same with a different intonation. Yet I may be wrong and hearin things that are not there. ;)

I'll listen again
