Well, as for me....I've been only on one concert. They had split up long before I had found them, but I don't like them now.... A fe weeks ago, they made one simple free open air gig and my friends from czech came here, so I went there because of friends although I don't like the group anymore....

But in other cases, I would have to know the performers very well - for example Poets are the right choice :D

It varies a lot. When it's something I pay (more than just a few bucks) for, I only go if it's a band I really like (Poets, Travis, R.E.M. etc), but if it's free or very cheap, I go if I know the artist.
At Roskilde, it's a different matter. Then I go to the ones I really like, and then I go to the shows where either the band name sounds really cool or the description of the music in the music guide sounds interesting :)

Same here. Only I go even if I don't know the band(s) playing. I've discovered a great Czech band this way, but I didn't have money to buy their CD and I so want it! :(

depends: sure I'll go to concerts if it's a band I like.
But I jut love live music, so if it doesn't cost much and it's not too far I'll go to concerts just if some friends of mine are going; sometimes even if I didn't know the band.
Next month I may be going with them to see a band I actually don't like from what I've heard, but first there are bands you don't like on albums, but still enjoy the concert (and anyway these friends I'm going with generally have good taste in music), then it's still a good night out with music, and last but not least.. I want to learn to take decent pics at gigs, and it's a good chance :P

don't know what to vote for: I wouldn't say i go when my friewnds are going, because sometimes I've been to concert totally alone because no-one I knew would come (example: when The Ark had a date in Milan, I NEEDED to see them, so I went to the gigs alone: I travelled to Milan and spent the night there on my own - glad to have done it, because ot's been a great gig :P )

I find it hard to select one. So let me explain: There are the artists and bands I love (some hav ebeen the same for years, some have changed, but I feel very strongly about them). Regarding these, I try to see several concerts as possible whenever they are on tour. I will travel for these people without second thought. I see at least one every tour, usually many, but there is a point where saturation is reached and I stop before that. So this would be the option "banda/artists I really like".

There are also bands that I like but am not a fan of. If I can make it, I go to on concert every tour, but if I can't, then I won't. I am willing to travle, but that depends opn gthe circumstances. I don't think we have a category for that.

Then there's a list of "must see artists", those I would like to see at least once, not necessarily because I am a fan but because their music has has some relevance for me at some time in my life or because I have heard so much good stuff about their live shows. Willingness to travel depends on how badlz I want to see them. We don't have a category for these either.

I am also curious, and I like to try out new artist, either becaus eI like an album of them or because someone has recommended them to me. There is, however a limit regarding what I am willing to paaz for tickets or how far I am willing to travel.

And if it's free or friends are going or it's close by or all of the above, I may even be willing to go and see a band I do not know. So there. :D

When Thom Yorke puts down the guitar and concentrates on singing, his physicality kind of reminds me of Marko. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wI7tB3585E

Not as strong or graceful as Marko, but still. That same sort of otherworldly-broken doll type of thing.

I've been so many concerts in my life and I choose the second option - if I like the band, I can't be missing :)
