ooops... my fault. Here in Italy we call "doctor" not just who takes a degree in medicine, but everyone who graduates. There are also "law doctors" and for example "engineering doctors". Doctor = graduated.

once you put 4 years into something I guess you don't wanna feel like the time was wasted, theres still a life to live and going through even MORE time in school would probably suffocate somebody

Wow, cool to find out about this, I had no idea what most you guys were studying :D

Myself, I'm halfway through my teacher trainee programme. One more exam and one more essay and I'm done with my first subject, entitling me to teach English. If I can keep my energy up, and if I get in, I'll be taking my second subject, Art, this fall. In total I have done two years and have two and a half years left.

To be honest, I'd rather do something completely else, but Mum's words keep ringing in my ears... ("you gotta make sure you'll get a JOB and that's all that matters... how else will you support yourself?")

I've thought of dropping out a hundred times but can't seem to take that step. Don't wanna waste these years, and since I'm halfway there... it seems I might as well go through with it... but right now all I'd like to do is to apply for the writer's education I've read about... :/
