Hi Everybody!
This is a common question for all of us that "Is there a "Afterdeath Life"?or "Why these good or bad things exist around us?"

It's not about your Religion and i just wanna know your own opinions about it
Share your thoughts (or any explanations if you like)
Thanks :)

OK IMO they exist.at least i saw so many persons that had dreams about heaven :P for example someone said he had seen his father(who was dead)
in a dream and he told that he lives in a peaceful place and he's so happy of his new life

in my opinion theres no heaven nor hell. when we die, we're dead. end. over. finito. theres nothing aftzerwards. our life is over. and then the only thing there is is an endless nothing.

In physics it's clear that energy can't be destroyed, so I think our human energy, our soul, can't be deleted. But it doesn't mean you be aware after soul left your body. I believe that every human, animal or plant have a spirit. Life's a cycle, and every dead life is the beginning of a new one.

Well, my boring way of seeing things continues :P No heaven, no hell, just dirt and maggots. Our death will create new life (well, it would if the body could actually rot), but that new life won't have our memories or our knowledge.

yup there's heaven & hell after our death from this life, but the next life is very different from this one we'r living ... from how i picture it in my head it woudn't be boring at all if heaven ,heaven can't be boring because it's HEAVEN ,& hell wouldn't be boring either cuz the concentration will be on suffering so it won't be boring

A very interesting question this. I feel it's one of those that can never and will never be answered, short of being able to take to day trip to either one and returning to "life" (?) to be able to deliver the definitve answer, we shall never know the result.

The question, it seems, does not then have a scientificly proveable answer. I mean, we know people cannot come back from the dead (regardless of people's feelings towards reincarnation where you return with no knowledge of a prior life) so we will never be able to say yay or nay either way.

To steal and run with Sunlocker's idea from physics (I'm a theoretical physicist myself :P ) energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. The energy of the body is completely tied up in its mass and in the energy needed to bind this mass together. As the body decomposes or is eaten by whatever, the energy (mass) is merely used to 'power' the maggots, etc, i.e. allows them to live, because after all, without an energy source, we/they could not survive.

As a scientist, it is interesting to come across questions which have no provable answer (kind of like the existence of God debate). In my opinion, in order to ascend to a higher/lower place, energy conservation must be broken, which is absolutely forbidden by the laws of physics, therefore Heaven and Hell do not exist. (Although if Heaven and Hell are exact opposites, ie positive energy vs negative energy, I concede that a virtual pair (of opposites) can be produced out of nothing, but then we run into self-annihilation problems etc so I'm incredibly sceptical)

Of course, I don't like making statements without proof, so to balance this I suppose that perhaps the very definition of Heaven/Hell puts it outside comprehensible reasoning/physics. Therefore anything is possible in the nth dimension.

Perhaps in this magical dimension(s) my posts wouldn't be as long.... Sorry

Yes, I believe in Heaven and Hell. I'd like to know what others think of the many "near-death" experiences that are reported all over the world.

I believe there MUST be something after death... but what it is... Well.... I can be pretty sure in my belief that its not as heaven or hell is believed to be but... I just dont know

Well, there's a quote that I really like, it's pretty much how I feel about the subject.

Dr. House: I choose to believe that the white light people sometimes see, visions this patient saw, they're all just chemical reactions that take place when the brain shuts down.
Dr. Foreman: You choose to believe that?
Dr. House: There's no conclusive science. My choice has no practical relevance to my life, I choose the outcome I find more comforting.
Dr. Cameron: You find it more comforting to believe that this is it?
Dr. House: I find it more comforting to believe that all this isn't simply a test.

Heaven and hell, no. Some kind of an afterlife (or "another round" on earth, so to speak), not sure.

If you believe there are such things as heaven and hell, then who goes where? And when? And in case you don't go there right after death, then where are you while waiting to get in?

Just curious.

Afterlife, spiritworld, whatever you wanna name it. I do believe in that, but I don´t believe that hell exists in anywhere else but in your own head.

I cannot imagine that death is the very end, I believe there`s some kind of existention afterwards. No idea what could it be like, but in my opinion, it depends on our behaviour and intentions...

wow, the poll took me by surprise, there are a lot of people who don't believe in heaven and hell, i am one of them.... i do believe there is some force, a being or something else, maybe its just part of nature, watching us like fragile children if we must endure hard times

Well, the things i know are ultimately from my religion(although i don't wanna get offtopic and make another Religion thread)
in "Quran" we read that hell and heaven are so far from this world(for purposes of feelings, thinkings and so on) for instance you can't even imagine the tortures in hell

I wouldn't mind a place to talk about Islam with you guys (and girls) here. I find it a really pure and viable religion, powerful enough to struggle with the volatile nature of mankind.

The Quran is a book of wisdom, and I really like how Mohammad knew of things that were discovered hundreds of years after him. Fascinating.

The things I know are ultimately from my religion (Christianity) also. But yeah, as far as concerns their existence, yes, heaven and hell exist.

Blah. I think heaven and hell are originally symbols for the ups and downs in life. As for after we die, naah, I don't think so. The idea is just for people to take comfort in when things in life get rough.

:?

I'd like to believe in an afterlife or somethin but I just can't.
