I got glasses, had them since I was 12. I sat in the front row at school and couldn't see what was written on the blackboard, so I had to get them. I should get new ones soon, haven't changed these since I turned 17. I see well, but the glasses are not in a good condition anymore.

'Nother four-eyed here!
Didn't like them at frst, but now I don't even recognise the guy in the mirror when I'm not wearing them (and not because of poor sight). :D

I've had glasses for most of my life. I was farsighted as a kid, first glasses when I was 4. Then I outgrew them at 12. At age 16 I became nearsighted and have had glasses ever since. I like them. A lot :)

Welll like i said theyre a right pain. They're usually not half as good at correcting your vision as glasses are and they cost a bome, and are so easy to lose or break!! But if you're vain like me than the aesthetic aspect of thwm outweighs all those problems

Nah, not for about 9 years now. I had a laser surgery on my eyes back then to get rid of glasses and contacts.

Yeah, it did. BUT it has also saved me a lot in glasses and contacts cause I used to wear contacts all the time. And eventually my eyes got really sore and it got difficult to wear contacts. So it´s a big investment to make at one time, but with time it pays itself back. :) Plus there´s the amazing feeling of not needing glasses anymore.

I seldom wear them, because I prefer using contact lenses.. I think I look even ugly if I put glasses on! (Childish maybe? Can't help it )

I wear them, and I'm really used to them, but I hate them at the same time.

In the age of 10 I've got my first glasses.... my left eye is farsighted and the right one is nearsighted, It's quite odd :) As a result, I don't have to wear glasses if I don't want, because "final view of the world" is combined from both eyes by my brain... I like it :D I wear glasses mainly at computer and while reading

It's the same thing with my dad. Only aiming with the gun (in army) was hard for him without glasses, because the farsighted eye must kept closed..

Nope. But I think that some day I have to wear glasses, because my mom has bad eyesight and even my dad needs glasses sometimes, though he used to say that his eyesight is really good. Now he has to admit that he needs glasses sometimes. :D

maybe you should wear them more often, then your eyes would not hurt anymore, once you get used to them
the muscles within your eyes just have to "learn" to relax again

that's how it started with my glasses, too  but now, my eyes became so bad, I have to wear them all the time (ca. -4 on both eyes), but no problem, as I said, I like them ^^

Hey, someone's been thread-digging :D
I actually just started using contact linses little more than a month ago. I like it :) No more greasy glasses in the auditorium - now I instead need to use reading glasses. Oh, the irony...
