The New album is supposed to have a bunch of previously published stuff isn't it? I kinda was looking forward to a whole new album of music i could listen too. But i'll obviously enjoy it no matter what it is :)

Well there might be The Ultimate Fling on the album, but we don't know yet.

That's BS, the album will have only new songs like one would expect.

Why should they put a song on that can already be found on other CDs ? I know a few musicians who re-release old songs on new albums, but it's not very common so you can expect RR to not contain any old stuff. I hope the record will contain more than 12 songs, but we'll have to wait and see.

It will have 11 songs, but I think the total length will still be more than in previous albums.

With the solo from TUF, I'm not surprised

I don't remember exactly where they said it, but early on they said they were working on new material for the album, and it sounded like they had quite a bit. And come on, these guys are pros! They know what they have to do! I could imagine maybe one remix (like maybe LG, just to keep it current), but probably not. I'd guess all new. And who should know better than POTF Admin? Maybe the guys, but if they post here I don't know who they are! (Oh, and if you do, Hi!)

The other thing, maybe this could be their breakout album in the US market. But I don't know if America deserves POTF (says the disgruntled American  )

And how about another Stobe video? 8)

I have to agree with Nuhr. I'd go as far as to say America needs to hear something as fresh and unique as Poets of the Fall. I for one am so incredibly sick of hearing the same kind of music from the same kind of artists over and over again. I'm not saying we don't have some talented people out there, because we do, but we need something new, and it can't come soon enough.
I mean, is it just me or is it all starting to sound the same, the only difference being genre? All pop sounds the same, country, hip-hop, even rock, which I love...it's all starting to sound like one big cookie-cutter music factory. :( We need Poets like a breath of fresh air...heck, we need them like a tornado to get rid of the old crap. :P

[/rant]
We return you to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress...

Eh, no need to speculate any more - there will be only new material on the new album, nothing old, period. I know it. It's a fact. Got it? :)

I hope that this time in RR they give songs like lift, fire, delicious, don't mess with me, COR etc etc.

Songs like sleep & dawn shouldn't be there in album. Though the lyrically both sleep & dawn are good. But its easy listening songs.

Personally I don't want that kind of songs. And in alternative rock genre this kind of songs degrade the album a bit.

Oh, ok. I will tell them to drop all slower songs from future albums.

The mix of slower and heavier songs give them a bit of diversity, but this one sounds like its gonna be mostly heavy in comparison to SoL

does anyone know how many singles theyre planning to release off this album? including The Ultimate Fling?

Everyone here knows as much as you do. The news from the mainsite is the only direct connection between POTF and us.

And I guess the guys themself don't know either/yet how many singles they are going to release, it's all written in the stars.

If they didn't make songs like Sleep and Dawn anymore, I'd be miserable! I love that they have a mix of everything! Why just have one kind of music? Variety is the spice of life, my friends, and I want the Poets to be very spicy! :P

I'd die without the "slow" songs

But without the "fast" ones I guess I wouldn't live either   :P

But man, who doesn't like songs such as Someone Special, ATW/4U and Desire?
