really? why's that?

I loved it :)
I like epic movies a lot

Naja dunno i expected, i dunno what but loads obviously! ;)

And in the end it was a bit too patriotic for me, but oc the spartans were like that, but still i think the movie/comic drives it a bit too much too the edge. Just my 5 cents! =)

holy crap --

300, this movie was awesome, visually beautiful, the casting was out of this world, the soundtrack was sweet!! and the directing was fantastic.... to say more, it was the directing job and the script that keeps this movie breathing so lively

its sucks by all means, hollywood didnt even bother to spend anything on it. it is just a film to make fun of iran. it is not true at all. i mean come on do you really think that the king of persia didnt wear clothes, i mean persia and mostly asia were the cultered ones before the industry even in europe. we were not animals and discusting as shown!!!!!!!! :x

Amin, I am sorry you were offended, but this was based on a graphic novel, and really has very little to do with real history. Just keep that in mind.

Amin, the thing is that I don't understand how you "invented" the idea that we actually believe that the things portrayed in this movie are true, historically? Have you even seen that movie? It is clear, right from the beginning when you look at the art style of the movie, that it's not realistic... It's based at a comic story after all... What's the fuss about?

well in iran nearly no actuly%100 of people think it has been made just to effend iranians. if its as you say maybe i'm wrong :)

and yes i have seen the movie and still find it offencive, i mean come on they show iranians like barbarians having gay sex and thier king has filled himself with gold and .... , and they dont say at the begining that its based on a comic book, how are we suposed to know that??

I'm glad you understand. It's interesting to me that you find how the king and his army were portrayed as offensive, yet weren't the Spartans just as barbaric or worse? They even made jokes about it. I didn't think the enemy was about Iranians at all. It never even crossed my mind. They were just the bad guys. It was just a fictitious, artsy, action thriller, with a good storyline for me. I hope you can see it the same way soon.

No but Im sure I know ppl who wish Transformers were real.. and they are all men between the ages of 30 - 47 yrs old.. yes.. Geeks!

Just go to comic book conventions .. you will find all the guys (rarely any girls) who wish Transformers were real machinery that transform to robots.. I have been to the Wizardcon - Chicago Comicon to many times as well as the Kansas City Comic Convention to know this fact!

(Wizard Magazine is a comic/collectiable toy magazine.. with pricing information)

I ordered the DVD and will be able to watch it in a few days. I'm really looking forward to it. I wanted to watch it in the cinema with some of my friends, but they either weren't interested or had already seen it.
