Hm. Here's a few:

- 311
- Ben Folds Five (they've broken up by now, though)
- Van Halen
- The Offspring
- And a little indie band that broke up four years ago called Jets to Brazil.

As far as solo artists, John Mayer. I'm really starting to like Daughtry and Taylor Hicks, too.

My favorite bands, though, are non-American: PotF, of course, and Barenaked Ladies (Canadian).

Hmm... from New Zealand a stand-out for me would be Evermore or Shihad/Pacifier (whichever most people know them by)
Oh, and Atlas is quite cool... but apart from that it's not very interesting (IMO)
Not to mention that all the good bands are stolen by Australia...

This would have been easy before Audioslave broke up but I think now its probably going to be Rage Against the Machine (rumors of band reuniting) but if they dont.... idk i like so much music

Polish ownerer's? Someone mentioned mucho-polish rockbands earlier but forgot about...

Kult of course! Great lyrics, music etc. ;) Also add Lao Che, Proletaryat, Closterkeller.

And well, Kayah makes some good music (but it's not rock :O)

Well, i'm a metalhead and when it comes to good metal, my country hasn't got much to offer. We have good bands like Epica, Within Temptation but it's not that great. Fav band from my country would be "De Heideroosjes" (pronounced: Hi-duh-rose-yes), a great punk band with funny dutch songs as well as very strong, serious political songs. I love them!

I know.
I couldn't name any but my brother listens to some.
I always ask who they are.
All he says is they're swedish.
I'm like WTF is your problem? then punch him and walk away.

Hi US_Fan_of_POTF.

Sounds like a good idea. There must be lots of high quality bands in the US beside Linkin Park etc etc, I mean bands wich is known only in US.
I listen to music from about 75 to present and I like most of it with a few exceptions, growlin or what it's called, isn't just me and yet I do listen to Amorphis.net (Finland).

Well here is a couple of danish bands, one new and an old one.
Volbeat.dk and dad.dk (Disneyland After Dark).
Try em out in myspace.
Regards Schumidt
