Most of the songs from Bloodhound Gang have extremely stupid/sarcastic/"I'd say brilliant" lyrics. Your opinion may vary.

i always just understand the half of the bloodhound gang lyrics
but they're fun - and they want it that way
so i would never say they're bad

bad are songs like "stars are blind" from paris or these silly "dadidadidadada"-summer-hits

or these techno-music
they always use words like "freedom, eternity, dance, move, tonight...."

Aqua - Barbie Girl

- Hi Barbie!
- Hi Ken!
- You wanna go for a ride?
- Sure, Ken!
- Jump in!
- Ha ha ha ha!

I'm a Barbie girl in the Barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

Come on, Barbie, let's go party

I'm a blonde single girl in the fantasy world
Dress me up, take your time, I'm your dollie
You're my doll, rock and roll, feel the glamour and pain
Kiss me here, touch me there, hanky-panky

And Meat Loaf is saying he would do anything to be loved but he would never hurt the girl he is singing about. i dunno what is so stupid about that.

Sorry, Michael, but we scoured all of our reference books, and "proud" just doesn't wash as a noun. Lions do live in prides, but we don't see the relevance.

Quote:
"There were plants

And birds

And rocks

And things"

Like in New York, nouns are scarce in the desert, and apparently our poor soft rockers simply ran out of them. Too bad they didn't consult Michael Stipe: "There were plants and birds and rocks and prouds."

i'm laughing my ass off    :D

Yeah, I know, when you separate a few lines from the whole it gets all twisted. Shouldn't do that, but sometimes you just want to act the fool a little

Nothing is going to change the fact that those were pure and utter crap. Naturally there were few exeptions, which were not good, but not that bad either. But my god what a horrible, horrible poetry overall.

Nevertheless. I've seen much worse. You can pretty much google "80's pop hits", pick three songs at random, chances are that atleast one of them are worse than everything in that list combined.

I've always thought it'd be awesome if someone made a techno song that goes "Upstairs, downstairs, upstairs, downstairs..." on and on for hours, haha.

And there's this song that goes "I'm a bike thief... I'm a bike thief..."
It's quite catchy, actually.

Who's that girl?
(La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la)
Eve's that girl
(La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la)
Who's that girl?
(La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la)
Eve's that girl
(La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la)

Eve - Who's that girl

Why bother writing lyrics when you can just sing la la la la...
