Just like most people: Max Payne 2.

This is the second band I've found via video games - I started to like CKY via Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. I think it was 3. Whichever one with Bam Margera's first appearance. Whatever.

I discovered the band when a friend send me to YouTube to watch a film made up of clips from Mirromask (her fave film) and in the background was Illusion and Dream. Googled the band, the rest is history

I discovered POTF back in November when they won "The Best Finnish Band" on the MTV European Music Awards. The clip they played was awesome so I checked them out. They are one of my favorite bands - the other is Goo Goo Dolls. They both have different styles but both are very good. I listen to POTF every day. I guess Im "potfaddicted" also. :)

Finished Max Payne 2...got quite sad, when I saw the credits, sad because the game ended already. But then I heard it...that heavenly masterpiece of music creation...that song. Found PotF, tried to find some facts about them...And here I am, enjoying their quality music and trying to spread their influence to the world around me...successfully.
(Made sure my friends love PotF as much as I do :P )

My sister's friend sent me one of their songs.... I think it was The Beautiful Ones. I heard it and fell in love, especially when we got Lift... So a few weeks later, on a forum we stumbled onto this thread where everyone was saying their favorite bands, and not only did one talk about PotF but gave a complete review of SoL. I've pretty much been hooked since then.

I heard Carnival of Rust on my car radio and thought what a nice song. Then I heard it again on radio few days later and turned up volume to hear it better. I wondered which band is this, and thought it must be some british or american band. Next time i heard it on the radio my son (14 years) asked me to turn it louder. Also my wife, and my daughter (7 years) liked the song very much. Then it was a big surprise when i heard , again on my car radio, that the band is finnish and called something like Poets of....something. I doubted have I heard it correctly. I checked on the net what Mr Google has to say about song called Carnival of Rust, and found up that it really is a band from Helsinki called Poets of the Fall! WOW! Next day my wife bought the record CoR for me! I thank her very much of that indeed! A big surprise was also that record! All the songs are SO GOOOD! Not a single song i would like to skip!
Then one day I saw an advertisement on newspaper that POTF is going to have a gig in Lappeenranta in Doris nightclub! I decided to be there with my wife, and managed to get the tickets one day before the gig. And what a gig it was! ABsolutely fantastic :D ! Even though i didn't know the songs from SOL at that time... one of my best concerts i ever been in! And I have seen live Rainbow, Whitesnake, Motörhead etc. around 25 years ago 8) Right after the gig I bought the album Signs of Life in the nightclub. It is too pure dynamite every song on it! Can't stop listening to these albums! :o :D It is amazing, I'm 44 years, my wife is few months younger, my son 14 and daughter 7 years, and we all love the music of POTF  :D :o

I have already bought the tickets for me and my wife to the gig in Tampere in 11.7.! Looking forward to it :D !

What a wonderful story.

It's cool that your whole family likes the band as much as you do. Their music is so great that it touches people of every generation. :)

Keep on spreading the word about POTF.
