Be fast, take part!

Here it goes!

The band is planning to put up some street teams around Europe (for starters..) and since the Germany gigs are taking place in just 3 weeks, it's a quite logical & good place to start.

Here's the basic idea:

We need some dedicated fans to take part in this and spread the word of our beloved boys & their music. There are many ways of doing this - it could be as simple as spreading flyers, posters and stickers around (of course so that it won't break the law or anything..), requesting their songs on local radio stations and letting people know they are coming and that they're definitely worth seeing live!

And what does the street team get from all of the easy, fun work they'll be doing? There are several things the band sees as possible rewards:

- free tickets to concerts
- meet and greet's
- merchandise
- etc. etc.

You'll be spreading the word and in return, you will get exlusive stuff no-one else will! That's "Street team" in a nutshell.

Before we launch the German street team, there are still some things to be concidered.

First of all, we need 1-3 people to take care of it all - be the coordinators, presidents, leaders, organizers, whatever you wanna call it. These people would be responsible of everything the street team does in a way - within their own limits and willingness, of course. They could be the ones putting up a site or a MySpace -profile and take care of it and let people know about the new tasks and ideas.

Naturally, everyone in the team would be free to take part in any of these things! And among all the band related missions it's really important to recruit new team members. The more the merrier! And better!

If you wanna be one of these - let's call them presidents - you can send me a private message or just let us and everyone else know about it by posting to this topic. If you wanna take part in the street team, reply! You don't have to put your whole life and all of your free time to this, even the smallest efforts are very warmly welcomed.

And, not to make this all too simple, there's still a couple of things to do asap. Some creative work affecting the team immediately.

The street team needs a name and a logo of some kind!

We need your ideas! For starters, you can go through some other bands' teams for ideas or just use your wild imagination. (I was reading about some other bands' street teams and one fun name I came across was Aerosmith's team: Aero Force One! Just to give you a clue of what we're after..)

The name and the logo can be anything, but of course it should be somewhat related to the band's name and general look. You can leave your ideas here, PM them to me, heck - you can even use a carrier pidgeon if you like.

Raspu and me already got some first ideas together, how about each street time get's his own color?! We thought about "gold" for us germans, you know...black..red...gold!

I'm not too good in a lot of things, but if there's something I can do, I'd be happy to help.

I would be honoured to help promote the band in any way I can here in Denmark (more specifically, in the Copenhagen region). I will see if I can come up with some nice name and logo

I was thinking the same... But potf is pretty known here in finland to be promoted more..
but I guess you can never promote a band like that too much..

I was thinking of the name "Poets of the Fall: Illusionist Dream Team". Our slogan could be "We seek you out". What does everyone think? It might be a bit too long, though.
