indeed, Lacuna Coil roxxsss 8)

Favorite band from Argentina:

Soda Stereo - they´re from the 80´s and got separated in 1997 :( , all actual national rock is mostly bullshit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxU9MiMsv_I

Soda Stereo´s singer, Gustavo Cerati is actually pretty good too (he has solist career since 1997)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqariMzVNQ0

and well...the actual band i like most is Tipitos, they´re kinda nice

Umh.. Never heard of a band called "Poets of the Fall"? :) They're damn good. And then there's Sunrise Avenue and Yö which are also good. And Private Line, my friend's uncle is in it. :)

Well I don´t need to say what band is at the first place on my list. But I like too a band called Bleak. They make great music and very touching lyrics.

My favorite band from the US is the "Goo Goo Dolls". They have been around since the late 80's and still making music even tho their style has changed over the years (they went from punk to alternative music)

I think it's great czech folklore band Divokej Bill (Unruly Bill). They have great lyrics:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHfklSsYHBM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PA_Ga_VqWoY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c83wrOLejyk

and czech rock/metal band Kabát (Coat):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrBH3lje3iw (fantastic lyrics in chorus)

Kabát win czech qualification round to Eurovision.

I'd have to say Tanel Padar and the Sun. But the only Estonians who ever got famous with their music outside Estonia were the Vanilla Ninja girls XD
