Well... it's 6am and after ~dozen beers after the gig I'm still out of words.

What I excepted was more like ~semi playback/sequencer/synthetic stuff but the whole lineup of the band was just something we're not prepared for!

Since I'm not that good writing full review and articles, I just try to inspire those who were in Tampere (or later gigs but nothing compares to the Manse) .. the band rocked and even the certain ballads rocked like there were no tomorrow coming.

Our group tried to encourage Captain to play some notes from his famous demoscene tunes, space debris, broken dreams, beyond music... etc. Instead he just smiled. OK he noticed our plea but just for the showmanship. just tap the god damn riff ok? :) U'll make the old scene doods happy :D

TOO bad that our posse missed 1 guy. Jonne 'PM* Valtonen cought a very nasty flu and couldnt join our crew but maybe next time when POTF is coming the town near US..... which means Lutakko 16.2. Captain, just play the god damn notes when we yell for it, ok!

It must've been awesome! Wish I was there.. *sniff*

And I was wondering, why do people always drink beer on gigs? I hate beer :P

It WAS awesome! I promise, I write a full report here, but now Im just too damned tired(and at work), I went to bed around 4.30 am and woke up 3 hours later to work...But uuuh, it was fun!!<3
My friend Tommi and I took a lot of pictures (actually about 90, but some are bad quality) and I will be posting those pictures here as soon as I can :)
and btw, Donna: I have been wondering the same thing, I didn't drink anything but water last night.

(copy from another topic, noticed this afterwards.)

The gig was at a place called Klubi, the line was really long when we arrived. First on stage was Lodger (www.lodger.tv), which isn't my favorite, but was good on stage, so nothing bad there. After Lodger came on Bleak (www.bleakmusic.com) and blew up the spot just enough to get everybody hyped up for POTF.

POTF started with Dont mess, just love the energy. They played a 1 hour set, so almost everything came, excluding Sleep. As I wrote before, the gig was sold out, which is a big thing in Finland during wednesday.

For teasers, during the last song (I&D) Mark stripped off his jacket, revealing just a mere tanktop. Just to get you ladies drooling.

And to be precise, also Seek You Out and Someone Special was left out, whereas the web-released Maybe Tomorrow Is a Better Day was included in the set. I think all in all the POTF guys had come up with a very good choice of songs, although I would've liked if they had started with Lift... :)

Great gig guys! Ollie, sorry, I had to rush to the Tampere -> Helsinki express buss which departed at 2 AM, we should have talked more. All the best for your tour, see you in Turku, hopefully. Jef83, I guess you'll come to the Turku gig?

Well here's the complete setlist from PotF's gig at Klubi Tampere Wed 02/02/2005. This is a copy/paste of an email I sent to myself just after the gig was finished, wrote down each track in my mobile phone as soon as it was announced during the gig. On a sidenote, I really liked Klubi, I had only one beer and some water at the gig, a pint of Fuller's ESB, but the selection of beers and ciders was excellent for a so-called rock club. Tavastia in Helsinki should take note, Tavastia is a great stage, but their selection of beers etc is a joke...

Here we go:
Poets of the Fall

Setlist @ Klubi 02.02.2005 Tampere, Finland

1. Dont mess with me
2. Overboard
3. Everything Fades
4. Late Goodbye
5. Lift
6. Maybe Tomorrow Is A Better Day
7. 3AM
8. Stay
9. Shallow

and as the encore:
10. Illusion & Dream

After the gig was finished, when the band left the stage, the Dramadance remix of Lift was
played.

Thank you people, I hope someone's gonna be there tomorrow and Saturday to report us from Ähtäri and Mänttä.

Tavastia is mainly for getting drunk or doing that groupie hangaround-thing, I guess that's why they don't sell Beer  I actually hate the place but I'm gonna have to be there in honour of the Poets.

And mikron, Jyväskylä actually is a city 8)

Hi everyone! If someone wants to see my pics from the Tampere gig. You can find them here http://koti.mbnet.fi/webmaker/potf/
It's about 8,5MB rar which you can download.
My camera begins to be old for good quality but I hope this brings out the wonderful atmosphere from Klubi!

Have you noticed something written on Mark's arm? Jenna and I are assuming those are lyrics.. lol.

Could be a good luck charm or something, too :P
