I heard 'lift' on the ending credits from the 3dmark05 demo, got blown away by the combination of the dreamy images and the dreamy song. Love at first sound.

Same here, fell in love instantly and I'm usually very critical about musique, nice work guys. Listened around over an half year to the mp3s :? and finally got the CD over a swedish store, yippee, lookin forward to gettin CoR 8)

Max Payne 2.
That day (more especifically that night) I finnished the game, and heard the credits, I knew that was a band to look forward.
I don't need to say how many times I've clicked there in the "Credits" of the game that day, do I?

I heard the "Late goodbye" last summer on a radio couple of times, but I never got the name of the band. Finally I just started searching the band from google with the name of the song and found this site.

I love the late goodbye and it´s still my favourite song from the band. Last fall when it was chilly and rainy I used to take long walks, listening to the album. Perfect music for the dark, chilly November evenings.

did someone say max payne 2?

anyway, I heard it, and I thought WOW!!!! I NEED TO GET THAT SONG!!
problem was: I didn't see from who that song was... So I thought: well, I have a save game before the credits, but it was different..
I HADN'T a save at the end of the game, so I had to play the last lvl for a 2nd time, it was worth it ;)

My brother played Max Payne, and was hooked with Late goodbye.
Later he just had to have Sings of Life album, and then he couldn't stop talking about Poets and their songs.

He lent me SoL and nearly forced me to listen to it. We don't usually have same kind of taste of music, so I wasn't very interested at first... CD just sat on my table for a while, and then one day, I thought that, well, what do I have to lose...

And there was no turning back.... I just had to listen to it over and over again. I remember that I thougt that how can something so beautiful exist, and that first time i heard 'Sleep' it made me cry. Marko's voice... Image
(ah, olen iäksi myyty ja ihan sulaa vahaa)

I almost didn't give the CD back to my brother..
But when he took it back, I had to buy my own the same day. :D

When I heard the Poets are going to release new album, I hardly could wait for it, MORE those beautiful songs coming my way !! :D

And then I was at their gig. It was so much fun, best gig I've ever been! And I fell in love with the band permanently... They are so sympathetic, genuine and sweet people! Marko was so cute.

I'm so happy my brother told me about Poets. :)

My ex-boyfriend heard Late Goodbye from somewhere, and a while after that he heard Lift in 3Dmark05. I started to listen to them too and I liked them. Soon after that we broke up and I started listening to PotF full time. <3 One of the very few good things I got from him was PotF.

My sister started to play her boyfriend's new album by this then-unknown band Poets of the Fall and started waving the songs. I first ignored the whole thing, but then after a few listenings I asked her: "What was the name of this band again? Actually they sound pretty damn good." I had to buy the record for myself a few days later and drove people crazy by talking about the band pretty much all the time. Luckily I got my few friends hooked on their music as bad I got myself in the beginning of 2005.
