About this section:

The meaning of this section is to keep you street team-ians up to date of what's going on, of course. You can start topics for your own language if you wish so, but it would be nice if everything was written in English so the band, management and of course, me  could follow the conversation.

Of course, separate topics for separate countries is a wise thing to do.

Nothing much to add right now! Have fun, keep the conversation and the ideas flowing! :)

You can contact me (and when needed, the band & the management) by sending an e-mail to:
streetteams@poetsofthefall.com!

I know that it may me a stupid idea, but maybe Admin should move this subforum between Poets of the Fall and Entertainment & Culture just for the sake of order. :)
Of course it's not so important, because only few people can see it... Nevertheless, I guess it would be somehow helpful. (At least I think so... :?)

Thanks for adding me here! Kiitos!
Just one question: Is "Sticky Topic" option available for everyone?

Well.. why do we need sticky topics when we can see all the topics on one page anyway? :)

Hey peeps! Blacky reporting. The situation here in Czech Republic isn' that bad. Quite a lot of people know about PotF actually. (Usually thanks to me) :P :) But you won't see a PotF shirt in a store here. :(

Question from a newbie...

Does an enthusiastic wanna-be Street Teamer still have to contact Tiia personally that he/she wants to be an "official" member of a Street Team X (be it whichever country) or how does this work now? With "official" I mean like someone who actually gets some definite info how things are done (or is actively planning those) and what actually should be done and what kind of material is available.

Meaning: Is this section just for everyone to see what is going on in different countries but no official info and decisions are given/made here and if you really want to get involved and not just chat around, you should "register" as a member?

Sorry for my stupidity/confusion. Thanks.

You don't have to "register" in anyway.. I'm just trying to be a help, keeping you up to date on what's going on and to answer your questions if you have any.

Right now I'm trying to get some flyers & stickers on their way to Wonderl... wait, to Germany, so anyone who's interested in spreading them around can do it asap, before the album is released and some time after that.

At first, I just wanted all the Street Team volunteers to contact me so I could add them in the group who can see this section on the forum. We kept it a secret for a while to see how things get started.

Hmm, what else. Oh yeah, and of course, anyone can still contact me in this matter, if they don't know how to start etc. :)

There are two ways: Send me a private message or an e-mail (streetteams@poetsofthefall.com)!

For Germany and Finland it has started, but other countries are still in the beginning of all this! Why not help them?

To me it seems quite logical considering that CoR will be released soon in Germany and Potf has (so far) had most of the gigs in Finland and Germany. Of course helping the other countries is good too, but I don't think it's a great idea to spread a lot of fliers etc. (which cost money) in countries where the album isn't released and where Potf isn't going to have gigs very soon.

Well, Jariq pretty much said it all :) at first, the other countries should maybe concentrate in this online promoting - MySpace, forums, whatever you feel like :) also, radio requests are never useless! Even if they didn't play the songs right away, the band's name will still stick to their heads and that may be useful in the near future! At least that's what I think.

Sending over some flyers isn't that cheap (and we still have to keep in mind POTF doesn't have a million dollars they got from a record company to do all this) and we have to concentrate on countries where they are needed the most.

Does that make any sense to you? :)

Little by little we will conquer the world! :D

Yeah it makes sense, thank you for the explanation! I asked a company to make a flyer for the Belgian Street Team. I'm not gonna ask you guys to pay for it! I will pay for it myself! What do you think about that? I even might ask them to make stickers or posters or whatever but you will never hear me asking potf to pay for it!

Anyway, thnx :)

i can run around with stickers all over my body (= the potf-support-mummy) - so tiia if you haven't already counted me in - do it now.

and i have to ask a friend of mine if he can play potf in his little radio show (it's just a radio station for the city "Rostock", but it can help...)

:D :D :D

The mummy sounds great! Also, the radio thing sounds great! :)

I've sent a few e-mails to the German team members concerning the stickers - we should somehow collect a few addresses from the people who want to spread them around. At least in the biggest cities.

The bottom line is, we need to get some stickers all around, and so that it wouldn't cost a million to send them (the packages are quite heavy if you send a lot..) - so we need people from all around the country.. the ideal situation would be that someone would be able to receive the package and maybe then share it with a few friends and so on.

You get the point! :) I'm trying to put this all together during today & tomorrow, because after that I'll be gone for a few days traveling around to see a band.. a nice band.. a Finnish band..

Hey!

Send me your address via e-mail and I'll put you on the list.. right now I'm trying to get as many people as possible to send the flyers to, but at first I have to find out where in Germany these people are.

Rostock and Düsseldorf sound great!
